Moe breaks Maxine’s chair while hooking up with Leon.
As the panel discusses the famale gaze, Maxine struggles with her broken chair during filming.
Things get a little uncomfortable after Heather makes a comment Kibby doesn’t like about her s*x life.
“Yeah, we all like to look at pretty people. But for me, the s*x of a person is the least important thing.” – Kibby
“We’ve heard about that.” – Heather
“But the gaze thing, that gets me in trouble because you can tell if they’re hot but you can’t tell if they’re going to end up cheating on you with some random guy that you met having a 3some.” – Kibby
Mo and Maxine tell Kibby that she will find love again, but Kibby uses the moment to call out Heather.
“Thanks guys for minimizing my heart ache. And special shout out to Heather for the low-key homophobia.” – Kibby
Maxine finally gives up on her chair and Mo uses the moment to promote her new project with Leon.
“You know, sitting is the new cancer. It’s worse than smoking.” – Maxine
“You know what else is smoking? These new videos I’ve been making with Leon, the hardest working PA in show business. Camera 3 get a gaze at Leon and, ladies, objectify.” – Mo
The camera pans to Leon, and Shawn is heated.
Mo explains “Moto Mo” and says that she basically drives around in a moto and records her interactions while meeting “crazy” people.
“It’s a lot of new stuff around here. Looks like I got a new mug.” – Maxine
“Well at least you still got that old mug.” – Mo
“Very funny, Mo. Sometimes it’s nice to change things up. How about a new co-host?” – Maxine
After they wrap up filming, Maxine has some words for the production staff. She complains about her chair, her favorite old mug that she’s had for years that she’s currently missing, and the fact that Mo went off script to promote her project.
The production assistant Ramona gets a bulk of Maxine’s complaints.
Shawn tries to calm her down and assures her they will look at the security footage to find out who stole her mug. He also tells her that he was able to book Rihanna for the show on Thursday.
Shawn confronts Mo.
Shawn checks Mo about promoting her new project on the show and taking shots at his mother.
“Don’t go rogue on air again.” – Shawn
“Wait, I’m confused. Fans love it when I go rogue. That’s good for the show, right?”
“Not at the expense of your co-host. Watch your insults, especially those directed at Maxine.” – Shawn
“Dude, that is just my comedy. That is how I do. And most of my insults are directed at me anyway.” – Mo
“Dude, no they’re not. Don’t go off topic plugging some bootleg project you’re making with one of our most unless PAs.” – Shawn
“Leon is not useless. He just needs a leg up. Not everyone was born with a silver spoon stuck up their butt.” – Mo
“Watch it, Mo.” – Shawn
Despite the warning, Mo isn’t taking Shawn seriously and mocks him as he walks away.
Mo tells Maxine that she heard from her old assistant, Anna.
Mo heard from Anna that she is writing a book about Maxine.
“Guess who called me? Anna Crouse. “ – Mo
Maxine can’t even remember who Anna is. Mo is able to remind her that Anna is her former assistant.
“Well now she’s back in town. Working at “New York Weekly” and writing a book. About you. So do you want me to give her an interview? – Mo
“Only if I can count on you to say nice things, Mo. So…no.” – Maxine
Maxine gets nervous and calls Anna to do some digging. She gets no answer and leaves a voicemail inviting her out to drinks so they can catch up.
Kibby catches Shawn and Nina having a moment.
Nina tells Shawn that everyone has gone home for the day, so they decide it’s a good time to have an intimate moment.
Before things get steamy, Nina tells Shawn that she’s three months pregnant with his baby and her due date is around the time of husband Andrew’s election.
Kibby happens to catch Shawn and Nina in action but walks way quietly before they notice.
Maxine meets with Anna.
Maxine and Anna catch up and Anna tries to assure Maxine that there’s no hard feelings. However, it’s hard for Maxine to trust her.
“I feel like I had a stake in your success.” – Maxine
Anna confirms that she is writing a book on her and turns down Maxine’s offer to find an editor.
“This book will be so great for you Maxine. It will give people a peep behind the curtain.” – Anna
Knowing that Anna may still hold resentment for the fact that Maxine told her years ago she didn’t have the look to be in front of the camera, Maxine finds it hard to believe that Anna’s book won’t be scandalous and hurt her career.
Anna tries to assure Maxine that the book will actually be positive, and she mentions that Shawn is not Maxine’s real son and actually her nephew and she supported her husband amid his failed business ventures.
This makes Maxine nervous as she wonders what else Anna knows.
Anna leaves the restaurant and Maxine calls up Anna’s editor Jane and asks her for a copy of any chapters Anna sent to her. They agree to meet in several days so Maxine can get a first look at the book. However, Maxine has to agree to nix Rihanna’s appearance in exchange for Kelly Osbourne’s, Jane’s client. Maxine agrees.
Maxine enters the lobby of her condo and runs into her neighbor, Phillip. She calls Phillip out for allowing his dog to “relieve” himself at her door, and he then calls her out for “reliving” herself at his.
Maxine has a conversation with her secret lover and doorman, William. She tells him about the book Anna is writing and he tells her not to worry because no one knows about them.
Nina has trouble keeping her husband in line.
Andrew calls Nina and tells her that it’s a good time for insemination. He asks her if she’s booked the appointment. She’s surprised he wants to come with her and Andrew insists that he should be with her.
She tells him it’s not the big of a deal and him going with her just adds more pressure.
Heather’s husband Brad is having a hard time dealing with their son’s curiosity.
While backstage in Heather’s dressing room, the kids are curious and ask her questions about her makeup. When Heather discusses fake eyelashes, their son asks if he can try them on.
Her husband immediately decides it’s time for him and the kids to leave the dressing room.
Shawn wants Nina to let him talk to her husband Andrew.
Nina is having a hard time coming clean about her affair with Shawn to her husband Andrew. However, she promises Shawn that she will handle it and she just needs him to trust her. She doesn’t want anyone’s image to take a hit, especially her own.
Despite her assurance, Shawn is upset that Nina told Andrew she wanted to go through with insemination.
Kibby gives Page Six a story.
Kibby confirms while speaking to her AA group that two coworkers are hooking up and Page Six immediately jumps on the story.
The publication writes a blind story and while it’s not revealed who is having an affair, Maxine gives all the staff a warning to stop running their mouths. Her hairstylist also reveals that Maxine’s “Twirl It” wig has gone missing.
Shawn gets on Maxine for changing up guests without telling him.
Shawn confronts her about making the change without telling him.
“Mom, if you want me to run the show you have to let me run the show.” – Shawn
Despite Shawn’s frustrations, she’s willing to do whatever it takes to shut down Anna’s book.
Mo walks in on Heather and her husband’s “interesting” method of dealing with their marriage issues.
Mo decides she wants to do a pop up visit on Heather and her family for “Moto Mo,” but she tells her camera man ,Leon, to leave once she gets inside their house and hears Heather screaming in pain.
She still thinks Heather is being abused by her husband and is shocked when she walks in on Heather’s husband hitting her with a paddle and reciting bible verses.
Mo tries to sneak out the house before they figure out she’s there but they catch her before she can make her exit.
Later back at work, Heather explains that what she and her husband does is actually taken from the bible. It’s called Christian Domestic Discipline. She asks Mo not to tell anyone else about what they do.
“And since we’re friends…Let me say this, if it works for you, I support you.” – Mo
Mo also tells Heather to make sure that she’s happy in her marriage. Heather assures Mo she is.
Mo saves the day.
When Kelly Osbourne and her new hair picture book are a bust for the audience, Shawn and Maxine decide to air one of Mo’s new videos.
The video is a hit with the audience to the annoyance of Maxine.
“Why would you bump Rihanna? She went to The View instead.” – Shawn
Shawn once again calls Maxine out for making a bad move with the guest booking, and she tells him she was doing someone a favor and it won’t happen again.
She also tells him her Prada pumps are now missing.
Kibby comes clean with Maxine.
Kibby confesses to Maxine that she is Page Six’s source. When Maxine asks her who is hooking up at work, Kibby tells her she can’t tell. Maxine then tells her she has to give up on her AA meetings for now.
Andrew figures out Nina’s secret life.
He tells her he knows she’s already pregnant by someone else and she needs to stay with him two years into Congress. If she doesn’t, he will ruin her career and tell the media about all the dirty things she’s done to get where she is.
When Nina threatens to do the same, he’s unmoved.
She realizes that she’s stuck in the marriage.
Heather tells her husband, Brad, she’s not happy.
The Christian Domestic Discipline method is not working for Heather. She is also upset that Brad won’t accept their son. She tells Brad she won’t accept him until he accepts their son.
She demands he moves into the basement.
Maxine gets Kibby a personal sober coach.
Maxine tells Kibby that she has hired a sober coach for her since she can’t attend AA meetings.
“Sorry this is weird and a bit intrusive.” – Kibby
“I’m paying for it. And while you’re on my show, I think it’s a good idea.” – Maxine
Kibby isn’t happy about the change but Maxine isn’t hearing it.
Maxine finds out Leon and Mo hooked up on her chair.
After checking out some footage of the petty theft, Shawn and Maxine then see Leon and Mo hooking up on Maxine’s chair.
“That is Mo and Leon fornicating in my chair!” – Maxine
Kibby tells Nina she knows about her affair with Shawn.
“There’s something that got the ball rolling. I know what’s going on with you and Shawn.” – Kibby
Kibby reveals to Nina that she knows about their affair and she walked in on them hooking up the other day. She assures her that she hasn’t told anyone but she did speak up about it at AA without naming names, hence the Page Six article coming out.
Kibby apologizes and Nina accepts her apology.
Mo is fired for sleeping with Leon,.
Maxine confronts Mo about her hookup in her chair.
“I have to let you go. I saw footage of you s*xually harassing an underling.” – Maxine
“That’s what you’re calling it?” – Mo
“Well that’s what my lawyers and HR are calling it. Not only could the show be liable but the entire network could be.” – Maxine
“I don’t know who you think you’re playing with but this ain’t over, okay? I’ve got lawyers and I don’t walk away” – Mo
Mo threatens to sue. Security then drags her out the building.
The thief is revealed and Mo begins to plot for revenge.
Turns out the production assistant Maxine always gives a hard time, Ramona, is the one who has been stealing her things.
Apparently she is selling the items online for revenge for not getting the promotion Maxine promised and as a side hustle.
Meanwhile Anna is getting some info from Maxine’s neighbor Phillip while Maxine is reading a copy of chapters of Anna’s unpublished book.
Mo plots on getting revenge on Maxine.
