Mariah Huq has still not been spotted on season five of “Married to Medicine.”
She’s been vocal in the past about her rocky relationship with the production company, and she gave an update on the situation in a recent interview.
Here’s what she told All About The Tea on her absence:
“They [production] didn’t invite me to a few scenes. They gave me a different filming start date aside from everyone else.
“But understand this…let them have a few episodes…cause when Motha comes thru she comes through!
“Toya invited me to her birthday cooking competition but my family and I were in Dubai at that time.”
Mariah says she will make her entrance this season during the group’s trip to New Orleans.
And when it comes to where she stands with all the ladies, the only person she still can’t be cordial with is Dr. Heavenly:
“Most of the ladies and I are in a good place. Toya and I have connected again. Same goes for Simone and Jackie — we’re good. Even Quad and I have genuine growth this season. But as for Heavenly — there is NO hope! She’s an evil, unhappy, and horrible person.
It’s a damn shame how they keep doing Mariah. Especially when she’s more entertaining than the majority of the other ladies.
I still believe Dr. Simone spearheaded the pushing out of Mariah. And after the way she basically told Black women to shut up and accept what her son said, I really don’t care for her.
These producers are so shady.
I actually didn’t miss her or her rachetness. She and Ms. Lucy can stay gone.
This is why you have to make sure you are lawyered up when you pitch a reality show. Mariah just didn’t play the game right. It happens. She should learn from it and create another show that she will have more control over. These ladies do not even like her. Time to move on to something else.
She thinks she’s in a better place with Quad but Quad is still throwing shade on Instagram. LOL.
If Mariah had her OWN production company with a full staff, then this would have never happened. Look at Ava Devernay(Array), Courtney Kemp, Mona Scott and Issa Rae. Now take a look and Shaunie and Mariah they are basically just glorified cast members that are dang near replaceable and or exchangeable
