Gabby Douglas has been dealing with tremendous backlash with over her comments to Aly Raisman’s Twitter response over victim shaming.
Aly accused their team doctor Larry Nassar of assaulting her while she was on the US Gymnastics team.
Gabby responded to the backlash and apologized via a statement issued to her Instagram account. She also accused the doctor of assaulting her too.
Check out the full statement below.
Since the statement was issued, Aly and Gabby appeared to have made up.
I applaud your bravery @gabrielledoug I support you.

Girl..
I hope she learns from this. You don’t need to tweet everything you’re thinking.
What a sh-t storm this has been.
You live and you learn. I’m still rooting for her. Especially when I know how Aly and Simone have been consistently dogging her out since the Olympics.
It’s not unheard of for one victim to shame another. Sad situation all around.
I respect that she apologized. Now she needs to be careful about what she’s saying on social media. She gave her enemies an easy win. What she said was really ignorant though. I hope she knows better now.
This is terrible to hear. I’m glad she found the strength to come forward.
