On part two of the reunion for season five of “Married to Medicine,” Dr. Simone opened up about the moment she decided to file for divorce from Cecil.
Andy asked Simone what was the defining moment, persuading her to file for divorce. Simone explained that she and Cecil were in a counseling session and things got heated.
She told Cecil that she would pull the plug on the marriage if he walked out of the session.
Cecil did just that, so Simone decided she was done.
Simone also revealed that she feels Cecil’s behavior is a result of being manipulated by a close and very platonic female friend. This is a female friend that he plays golf with regularly.
Next, Andy asked if Cecil may have romantic feelings for this friend. Simone claimed that there are no romantic feelings there.
Toya then tried to interject and question why Simone and Cecil can’t work through their problems, prompting Simone to snap and make it clear that none of them would stay in a loveless marriage.
The realty TV curse strikes again. They won’t be able to call this show Married To Medicine anymore in a few years the way things are going.
Simone said she has always dangled a possible divorce in Cecil’s face whenever he made her upset. And if that’s the case, they have had issues for a long time. If she’s done, then people have to respect that. I think Toya is still holding on to the facade of how they used to handle all the couple’s trips. That’s not reality though.
Cecil can be very cold towards Simone. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that she’s finally at her breaking point.
Sorry but I still think Cecil and Simone’s issues can be worked out. Cecil just has to get over himself and be willing to change. Honestly a lot of couples reach this points when their kids leave the nest.
I’m not sure why Simone said Quad wouldn’t stay with Gregory if she was in her shoes. Hell Quad isn’t going to stay now and has been planning her exit since her wedding day. So that’s not a good comparison.

I know Cecil said they are working things out but I think Simone is really done.

They already said that they weren’t divorcing that they decided to work on their marriage and I’m glad to hear that cuz I believe that their marriage can be saved even when they weren’t in a good space they seem more compatible then the rest of the couples other than Mariah and her husband. They always seem to joke around and just be genuinely enjoying each other’s company.After looking at last night show now I see why quad is done with her marriage and while she’s so cold to him and why she doesn’t want to have his child although I truly believe quad doesn’t want children. By anybody. But no man should be hanging out with another woman in a hotel room.
