Moments ago, Drake dropped “Duppy Freestyle,” responding to the disses Pusha T threw on his new album Daytona. Drake also had things to say about Kanye West, who produced Pusha T’s album.
On the diss track, Drake held nothing back. First, Drake responded to Pusha T calling him out for allegedly having ghostwriters. According to Drake, he alluded that all isn’t clean with Kanye using others to make his beats and write his lyrics:
So if you rebuke me for working with someone else on a couple of V’s
What do you really think of the n**** that’s making your beats?
Drake also mentioned he helped with some of Kanye’s most popular tracks on “The Life of Pablo”:
Father had to stretch his hands out and get it from me
I pop style for 30 hours, then let him repeat
Now, you popping up with the jokes, I’m dead, I’m asleep
I just left from over by y’all putting pen to the sheets
He then called out Kanye for apparently being jealous of his former clothing line’s number two, Virgil Abloh:
I could never have a Virgil in my circle and hold him back ’cause he makes me nervous
I wanna see my brothers flourish to their higher purpose
You n***** leeches and serpents
Pusha wasn’t free from the shots either. Drake called out his status on GOOD Music and said he’s not even top 5 on the label. He even questioned the validity of the drug dealing image Pusha T displays in his lyrics.
Man, you might’ve sold the college kids for Nikes and Mercedes
But, you act like you sold drugs for Escobar in the 80’s
Drake even took jabs at the fact that Pusha takes orders from Kanye, although Pusha is actually older in age:
I really shouldn’t have given you none of my time
‘Cause you older than the n**** you running behind
I appreciate this as a Whitney fan.
Drake really went in. It’s good to know at least one rapper isn’t afraid to call out Kanye.
Waiting for the “Drake don’t want it with Pusha T” bulsh-t..glad he called them out..perhaps someone should post a pic of Kayne’s mom on their album cover..no longer a fan.
