“Insecure” fans are chomping at the bit for information on the upcoming third season. Issa Rae and HBO teased fans with a 30-second teaser promoting the season, which premieres August 12th.
Fans were also enamored with co-stars hooking up in real-life, and possibly creating drama crazier than the show itself.
Issa Rae recently spoke about what fans could possibly see this season in a new interview. Issa hinted the show may hit a serious topic in the black community; black masculinity.

Yeah the thing I don’t like about Insecure is the writing really panders to black twitter. They didn’t start doing that until season 2.
It’s going to be hard not to do this and be preachy with the message.
I think I’m in the minority but last season was very meh to me. It’s like they were trying too hard to be shocking and controversial. I hope season 3 is much better.
