Fans of “Real Housewives of Potomac” had plenty to say on social media after it was revealed that Michael Darby had been accused of groping a cameraman from the show.
The cameraman claims that the incident went down last month, and Michael grabbed his butt without his consent.
A police report was filed and Michael was charged with second-degree assault and improper s*xual contact. The charges meant Michael was facing up to about 11 years behind bars if convicted.
Now it’s been confirmed that the charges have been dropped.
The Washington Post reports the case was dismissed “due to insufficient evidence.” Apparently the cameraman told police there were no other witnesses who saw the incident.
Michael’s lawyer tells the publication that the charges were dropped because they were “baseless.” He also says that there were a number of witnesses who said the groping “did not happen.” And the peace order requested by the cameraman was also denied because “nothing happened.”
As for Ashley, she is standing by her man.
