If you’ve been keeping up with the drama surrounding Kevin Hart, then you already know he’s been dealing with backlash.
After the comedian was selected to host the Academy Awards, he was exposed for some controversial tweets.
In the tweets, Kevin used the “f” word. He also claimed that he would not allow his son to play with his daughter’s doll house because “that’s gay.”
The tweets made Kevin the target of LGBTQ advocacy groups like GLAAD.
You can check out the tweets below.
Apparently the Academy asked Kevin to apologize for the tweets or step away from the hosting gig.
But Kevin refused, and claimed in a video that he already apologized in the past.

We’re not sure when and where the apology took place, but in an interview from 2015 with Rolling Stone, he wasn’t apologetic.
Here’s what he told the publication:
I’d never apologize for what was never intended to be disrespectful — I’d never allow the public to win for something I know wasn’t malicious. I think people take things so serious — you send out a tweet, and I’m not apologizing for that.
In reference to the tweet about not wanting his son Hendrix to play with his daughter’s doll house, Kevin told Rolling Stone the following:
It’s about my fear. I’m thinking about what I did as a dad, did I do something wrong, and if I did, what was it? Not that I’m not gonna love my son or think about him any differently.
Kevin announced hours ago, that he won’t be hosting the Oscars.
