It’s clear that the #MeTooMovement really became a force in mainstream media.
And while the movement as a whole continues to have support, Terry Crews wasn’t so fortunate.
In fact, his manhood was put into question by some on social media because they felt like he should have fought the man who groped him at an industry party.
This is something that truly shocked the actor.
During his recent appearance on WWHL, he had an interesting response when Andy asked what support shocked him the most.
The people who surprised me the most were black women.
Black men did not want any part of it.
All my support came from black women.
Terry continued:
It shocked me. It shocked my family. It shocked everybody because I thought, ‘oh my God, here I am as a black man, saying things we’ve all been through.’
And a lot of guy were just like, ‘man, you weak. You should have hit him. You should have knocked him out. You should have done all this stuff.’
And black women were just like, ‘No, no. It doesn’t work like that.’
