The couples are moving forward.
Toya meets with her party planner. The housewarming party theme will be Arabian Nights. There will be a camel and Toya will be carried in. Eugene’s wish of not exceeding $10,000 will be honored.
Contessa and Scott are in a much better place. She will be going back to school in the fall. They will be getting a nanny. And Scott will be taking the kids to Nashville often.
Construction and renovations have started on Jackie and Curtis’ home. While this is exciting to Jackie, Curtis is excited to learn that they are going to France and she took off ten business days. A vacation is just what the couple needed.
Buffie is still hurting.
While en route to the housewarming party, David and Buffie discuss Jackie’s “infertile” comment. Buffie is still hurt about it because it opened up old wounds for her. Simone isn’t sure Jackie really understands this.
As Contessa is getting ready, she once again throws shade at Toya and Eugene’s finances. She thinks their housewarming party is too over the top.
Contessa, Heavenly, and Quad still have issues with Mariah.
Mariah shows up with Lake. Contessa gets annoyed and says it’s “manipulative” for Mariah to bring Lake around. She says every woman stands on their own feet in the group except Mariah. And she’s being “cowardly.”
Quad and Heavenly sit to the side and discuss Mariah. Quad accuses Mariah of doctoring her drug test papers. Heavenly says it is “psychotic behavior.”
Jackie has another conversation with Buffie.
Simone pulls Jackie to the side and tells her she should apologize to Buffie again. This irritates Jackie and she says that she hurts too. She decided to use her pain to help other women. Simone tells Jackie that Buffie isn’t there yet, and she goes to get Buffie so the two women can talk.
Jackie apologizes to Buffie again, and Buffie says she doesn’t think Jackie is malicious. The situation just took her back to a hurtful place. She excuses herself to the bathroom and Simone hugs Jackie after the conversation.
Buffie has a breakdown.
When Buffie goes to the bathroom, she breaks down in tears. Dave comes in to console her. She tries to leave but Toya convinces her to talk in her two-story closet. Contessa comes and things go left as Contessa screams in Buffie’s face not to wallow in her sadness. Buffie screams that Contessa doesn’t respect her pain and storms off with Dave.
Jackie seemingly quits the show.
Meanwhile, Jackie tells Cutis she may need to take some time away from the group. She feels like if she’s offending people, then she’s not in the right group. And she really hates that Simone wanted her to apologize again.
Contessa and Mariah clash.
Mariah tells Contessa she was wrong to yell in Buffie’s face. They exchange some words and get in each other’s faces. But Contessa feels she had a right to say what she did because she also had multiple miscarriages. She calls out Mariah for bringing Lake around and says that Mariah uses Lake to say the things she wants to. When it becomes clear that things could really go left, Contessa walks away,
Contessa later tells the other women about Buffie’s breakdown and accuses Mariah of causing it.
At this point, the women realize that the group is way too fractured and something needs to change.
