Amara isn’t feeling PreMadonna.
Sukihana is throwing an event to celebrate black women in the industry. She’s proud to be a dark-skinned woman and she just wants to encourage a sisterhood.
While Sukihana is making plans, Amara talks to her mother about her breakup with Emjay. She misses him but knows that a breakup needed to happen. Amara is also feeling some type of way about PreMadonna. PreMadonna set up the meeting with Annie without giving Amara a heads up first. So Amara questions PreMadonna’s character at this point.
She’s going to Sukihana’s brunch. Miami Tip invited her and she thinks getting out of the house will be good for her.

Vernessa is remembered.
Joy takes Trina and the family to celebrate Trina’s mother Vernessa. Someone is there playing the violin before Joy gives a heartfelt speech.
Trina’s family members talk to Veressa and recall their fondest memories.
Trick talks, too. He says he and all his boys grew up wanting women like Vernessa.
Bobby says Vernessa always brought everyone together, including Joy and Trick.
It’s very emotional when Laura and Trina walk up to tell Vernessa happy birthday. Bobby is happy Vernessa’s ashes made it back to the Bahamas.
PreMadonna and Amara clash.
Sukihana has her black women empowerment event. All the women open up about their experiences with colorism. Miami Tip says she wanted to be dark-skinned because she wasn’t accepted.
Amara discusses how hard it was growing up as an Afro Latina. Black kids didn’t accept her and neither did the nonwhite Latinos. PreMadonna then asks her what she identifies as.
Amara looks irritated and ignores the question. So the other women ask them what’s going on between them.
After a while, Amara tells PreMadonna to leave her alone because she wasn’t even talking to her. They start arguing and PreMadonna tells them about what happened with Annie. Things only get tenser when the women go outside.
With security standing between them, Amara says that PreMadonna was wrong to not give her a heads up about Annie. And she didn’t want to talk about this at Sukihana’s event. But both women decide that they are done with each other.
Chello gives Brisco another chance.
Brisco and Chello take the kids to look at a house. Chello isn’t happy when Brisco tells her he wants her to live with him and the kids. He really wants her back. She tells him there must be rules if they live together. And she’s not lowering her standards. Brisco agrees to this, so she agrees to move in.
Joy and Trick get real.
Trick and Joy talk about their failed marriage. Joy didn’t feel like Trick cared about her at times. And he didn’t apologize for the things he did wrong. Materialistic things didn’t help their marriage.
She gets emotional when Trick says she didn’t appreciate him. But Joy’s thing is she didn’t like how he treated her.
So Trick apologizes for any pain he’s caused her. He did nice things because he loves her, not because he was trying to make up for wrongdoings.
This makes Joy smile.
