T.C. Carson’s departure from “Living Single” caused speculation.

“Living Single” was a certified hit for Fox years ago. The sitcom instantly became a fan favorite with an all-black cast. Queen Latifah, Kim Coles, Kim Fields, Erika Alexander, John Henton, and T.C. Carson all played lovable characters. Most importantly, they were relatable. And for five seasons, viewers tuned in to see the strong bonds and relationships between the characters. However, Carson’s Kyle Barker would be removed from the show before its run on the network ended in 1998.

Back then, there were plenty of rumors about why Carson was booted from the show.

And recently, he addressed his departure in an interview.

T.C. Carson may have upset those in power.

According to Carson, he was fired because the network executives took issue with him.

During an interview with Fox Soul’s The Tammi Mac Late Show, he said, “I got fired from ‘Living Single.’ because I think they thought my mouth was too big. There were a lot of things that we had issues with, not a lot of things. But there were things we had issues with. And when we would bring them to the network or to the powers that be, I was the spokesperson.”

He added, “And when they think you have the ear of your people, they cut the ear off.”
