T.C. may have been somewhat blackballed after “Living Single.”

T.C. Carson’s exit from “Living Single” was shocking to fans. While he believes he was let go for being the voice for the cast, he was surprised that the situation would follow him to other sets. In fact, he found out about the nasty rumors that were attached to his name while auditioning.

During an interview with Comedy Hype, T.C. talked about auditioning for a role after “Living Single.”

He said, “I kind of got blackballed. There was a rumor going around that I was difficult to work with. That I come to work unprepared. And all of this was not true.”

A Black casting director told him about the rumor.

The casting director for the show he auditioned for was a Black man. Carson was called back for an interview. While talking about his resume, he was asked why he was let go from the show.

After he said the network just wanted to make changes, the casting director then said what he heard. T.C. was outraged that a black director would repeat such untrue rumors in front of white executives. So he cut the interview short. And he thanked everyone for the opportunity before walking out.

Check out the video below.

Although T.C. was “kind of blackballed” after “Living Single,” he still believes it was one of the best opportunities he’s had. There is no love lost. So he’s open to reuniting with the cast in the future if the show is ever rebooted.
