LaTisha and Melody call a truce.
LaTisha and Melody continue their talk turned argument at the kids’ birthday party. During their talk, LaTisha comes for Melody saying Melody is ruining her own brand being a mean girl. She then brings Kimmi into the chat. Melody says LaTisha spoke about Marsau while angry, saying it doesn’t matter what Marsau does outside their marriage as long as he doesn’t embarrass her. LaTisha says she didn’t say this. And she believes Kimmi can confirm this. But Kimmi doesn’t recall what was said that day. And she doesn’t want to be in the middle. So she leaves.
When Kimmi walks out, LaTisha reveals she had a conversation with her son MJ about Martell’s accusations about Marsau having 20 mistresses. Apparently, MJ heard about the accusations at school and this really frustrated LaTisha and Marsau.
Eventually, both agree that they could be cordial for the sake of the kids and Melody says their families are off-limits. Melody tells Martell about her talk with LaTisha. As a result, he pulled MJ aside to tell him that what he said about his father was false and he only did it to get under his skin.
Martell confronts Melody.
Martell’s at his business and calls Melody in for a serious chat. When Melody arrives, Martell brings up how they need a nanny. Martell also wants Melody to slow down, which Melody scoffs at. He also wants Melody to put more focus back into their Holt & Holt custom homes business. Melody responds to this by saying Martell needs to “step up to the plate more.”
Martell asks if Melody could come in about 3 – 4 hours a week. He feels that with her stepping back, it’s hurting the business. Melody replies that she just had a baby and wants to focus on other things.
Next, Melody brings up LaTisha and Marsau. Martell wants nothing to do with Marsau and doesn’t agree with Melody being cordial with LaTisha. He also wants to speak to Destiny about the Scotts showing up to her event.
Maurice puts his foot down when it comes to Monster.
Meanwhile, at Kimmi and Maurice’s, Maurice is taking a break from studying for the bar. Kimmi wants to plan their honeymoon, finally, and Monster’s summer plans are come up in the process. As a result, Kimmi asks what’s going to happen when Kiwuha moves to Huntsville. Maurice brings up the plan of Monster coming to live with him when he was eight.
Kimmi asks if Kiwuha would want to split time for Monster. Maurice tells Kimmi that time has passed. In fact, he says it’s “not a democracy,” meaning Kiwuha doesn’t have a say anymore. He then jokes calling Kimmi Kimwuha when Kimmi defends her.
This angers Kimmi and she tells Maurice to not do that again. She then says that Monster is going to need both parents and Maurice needs to communicate with Kiwuha. Maurice emphasizes that Kiwuha doesn’t have much say as he’s raising a man.
Destiny meets with Marsau and LaTisha irritates her.
Later on, LaTisha and Marsau are decorating their new office and LaTisha asks if he talked to Martell at the birthday party. Marsau said they just won’t talk publicly. LaTisha is also done with trying to be friends with Melody. She then brings up how Wanda keeps butting into her friendships, and she apologized to Kimmi about this. Marsau says she should have a conversation with Wanda and tell her to “shut the h*** up.”
LaTisha tells Marsau to respect her mom and Marsau responds that Wanda doesn’t respect him. Marsau angers LaTisha when he asks her to make the same amount of excuses for him she’s making for her mom. Not too long after, Destiny arrives.
Destiny wants to speak to them about the Scotts bidding on her salon suites construction. LaTisha keeps interrupting their conversation and this rubs Destiny, Melody’s friend, the wrong way.
Destiny lets them know that they have a hard deadline for her birthday; May 1st. But, this doesn’t put too much pressure on Marsau. He wonders if Martell and Melody would be angry about him putting a bid in on the project.
Marsau learns of the Holts’ plans.
Destiny and La’Berrick are hosting a soft launch for her beauty supply store and salon. Kimmi and Maurice greet Destiny and La’Berrick and she brings up Marsau possibly bidding on the salon construction. Maurice’s shocked Marsau would do this, alluding to Marsau possibly biting off way more than he can chew. Destiny says in her interview that she has no problem firing a contractor if things are going too slow for her liking.
Speaking of Marsau, he and LaTisha arrive at the event around the time the Holts arrive. Of course, Martell and Marsau aren’t speaking but LaTisha and Melody have an awkward conversation with Kimmi. Kimmi learns that LaTisha and Melody agreed to be cordial for the sake of their children who are friends. When Destiny comes over, LaTisha makes a joke about being kicked out of Melody’s event which rubs Melody the wrong way. LaTisha then invites them to her panel event about marriage.
Later on, Marsau learns from La’Berrick that the Holts are bidding as well.
Shade flies between Destiny and LaTisha.
Meanwhile, Destiny and LaTisha chat and their talk gets pretty awkward. LaTisha brings up how this was really shady with Destiny. Afterward, she tells Marsau about it and he tells LaTisha that the Holts are going to bid. Marsau’s going to focus on the business but LaTisha knows Melody is going to make it personal.
Destiny then brings up to Melody her shady conversation with LaTisha and her awkward conversation at the Scotts’ office. It comes up how things got awkward when she revealed that it came up how they talked about whether or not they know their husband’s schedules. While LaTisha didn’t know Destiny was coming over to the office, Destiny says she knows about all the meetings La’Berrick has each day. This came up because Destiny brought up wasn’t expecting to see LaTisha at the office.
Destiny asked LaTisha if she is usually in Marsau’s business meetings. LaTisha says she doesn’t know Marsau’s schedule and doesn’t keep tabs on him. She doesn’t feel like she has to.
LaTisha later tells Marsau about this as she felt Destiny was being shady towards their marriage as a result.
Destiny also didn’t like how LaTisha kept butting into her conversation with Marsau about the bid.
Melody warns Destiny that LaTisha’s energy is changing for the negative and to be wary of the Scotts.
