Dwight’s text message conversation with Te’a caused controversy.
Royce Reed is back in the headlines again. The “Basketball Wives” star has been going back and forth on social media with Dwight Howard’s fiancée, WNBA player Te’a Cooper. Te’a currently plays for the Los Angeles Sparks.
After Dwight won his first-ever NBA championship, he took to social media to show off his celebration of the big moment.
While on Instagram Live, he accidentally switched his phone’s view over to a text message conversation he was having with Te’a.
In the text, Te’a was asking Dwight if a rumor was true. To no surprise, the clip went viral.

And Royce had something to say about it on Instagram Story.
Royce called out Te’a and Dwight.
She wrote, “D*mn…Imagine it being one of the happiest moment/days of your life and someone who’s supposed to be your sanity and celebrate with you comes at you with some childish DRAMA for all the world to see…how embarrassing ? ”
Some people criticized Royce and accused her of being bitter. So she hopped on Instagram to defend herself. And she accused Dwight of not seeing their son in months.
She wrote, “Y’all better stop praising ppl based off a screenshot of their lives on tv and Instagram posts. Better yet… imagine having to text a 3rd party to try and find out if this person plans on seeing their 2 kids that live here and that they haven’t seen since July or SPOKEN to since August before they leave the city and the response is “I don’t know, I gotta see what the team doin”. A multimillionaire who can catch any flight with a choice to spend a couple hours with children who want to think he’s their own personal Superman. A child who REALLY NEEDS HIM RIGHT NOW! But… I hold this little boy at night through tears and anger. ”
She added, “I comfort him. I raise him with love not through money. So anyone who has an issue with that F*CK YALL! Straight up! Braylon will always cause my lioness to come out! PERIOD! #mytherapistisgonnakillme”
Royce has more to say to Te’a.
While Dwight said nothing in response, Te’a made it clear she was unbothered on her Instagram Story. She posted a clip of her on a private jet.

As for Te’a, she rapped a Drake lyric, “Tired of beefing with bums, you can’t even pay me enough to react.”
