Kandi Burruss is passionate about helping single-parent families.

Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore was the hot topic on social media after the recent episode aired. On the episode, Kandi Burruss invited the ladies to help out at her charity event. She started a foundation, Kandi Cares, several years ago. And the focus is for her to help single-parent families. This is a cause that Kandi is very passionate about since she herself was a single mother. Riley Burruss’ father, Russell “Block” Spencer, hasn’t paid child support in ten years. Since she’s been very successful throughout her career, she wants to pay it forward and help others. Plus, Kandi also said that she comes from a family of single mothers. So the foundation is near and dear to her heart.

While most of the cast came out to help pass out groceries to single-parent families, some of the women also donated some money. Kandi confirmed that Porsha Williams and Marlo Hampton both donated $5000 each. She was really touched by this. Plus, Marlo even went with Kandi to the farmer’s market to buy produce for the event.

Kandi Burruss had things to say about how charitable others were and weren’t.

In a green screen interview, Kandi said that she thought others would be a bit more generous. So some fans began to speculate that others in the group may not have donated.

During Kandi’s latest, “Speak On It,” she and Don Juan discuss the event. And Don said some things that made some fans of the show start thinking Kenya may not have donated.

Kandi would later say that some in the group weren’t “necessarily giving.”

This made some people think that Kandi and Kenya’s friendship could be in trouble. However, it appears as if the friendship is just fine.
