Dr. Jackie Walters tries to give Dr. Contessa Metcalfe advice to save her marriage.
Another marriage is being tested on “Married to Medicine.” On part two of the reunion, Dr. Contessa Metcalfe reaches her breaking point backstage. As she talks to Dr. Jackie Walters about her issues with Dr. Scott Metcalfe, Contessa isn’t feeling what’s being said. And she’s feeling like too much of the responsibility to fix the marriage is being placed on her.
Contessa also defended why she and Scott appear to be happy on Instagram.
On a preview of the upcoming episode, Jackie says, “Listen, you manifest what you keep speaking. Watch it. Your thoughts become your words.” In response to this, Contessa says, “It’s so funny. Okay. So you say manifest but then on Instagram, you tell me not to look like I’m happy.” She added, “I thought that was manifesting. I’m trying to be…fake it til I make it.”
Jackie tells Contessa she wasn’t saying this, but she feels Contessa will act like everything is okay but complain about the situation constantly, “But you can’t complain and then go boom and complain…”
Dr. Contessa Metcalfe is tired.
Contessa grows more frustrated, “I haven’t complained about nothing. I been hanging around y’all for four years and ain’t complained about nothing. I will stop telling y’all anything.” And Jackie tells her, “See, that’s what I’m saying. You see what you’re doing?”
At this point, Contessa has had enough, “Stop f*cking putting it all on me! That’s what I’m saying. Stop putting it all on me if you wanna be my friend! I have a lot of friends like that which is why I’ve been in the same f*cking situation for 15 years.” She continues, “I love you but I’m telling you that is a lot to handle. Stop telling me that if that doesn’t work out, it was something I didn’t do right because I’ve tried to do everything right! Right? I have three kids. Three kids, the stake is so high!”
Contessa goes on to say she knows she doesn’t matter and her kids are the most important in the situation. This is when the other women of “Married to Medicine” tell Contessa that she actually does matter, too.
