Wendy Osefo questions Mia Thorton’s loyalty to Karen Huger.
Robyn Dixon bonded with Wendy Osefo pretty fast on the past season of “Real Housewives of Potomac.” The two women bonded over motherhood, and Wendy found common ground with Gizelle Bryant since they are both members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. However, it appears that some of the relationships on the show will change a lot during the current season.
In the first look at episode 2, Karen Huger and Gizelle continue their war of words at Wendy’s event. Karen says, “This is why they call you the first lady from h*ll.” Interestingly enough, newbie Mia Thornton says she can see the good in Gizelle. She tells Karen, “I know you, I love you, I respect you. I have my own relationship with you. But I’m just meeting Gizelle. And I’m a good judge of character. She has a beautiful heart.”
This completely confuses Wendy. In a green screen interview, she says, “So I’m a bit confused. I would think you would stick up for your friend, the person who brought you to this event.”
Karen thinks Mia just needs some time to see the dark side of Gizelle, “This is Mia’s first time sitting down with Gizelle. I was smitten when I first met her too. Give it five minutes cause Gizelle will show her darkness.”
Robyn Dixon gets frustrated with Wendy Osefo.
Karen goes to say things went left between her and Gizelle after Ray Huger gave Gizelle advice four seasons ago. He told her to settle down soon because beauty fades. In a green screen interview, Gizelle said Ray will be dead and buried before her beauty fades. That bothered Karen and she claims it upset her children, too. And they were young at the time, so she didn’t address it back then.
Robyn then says, “They weren’t that young.” Karen says she refuses to be “attacked.” In response to this, Wendy says, “I was gonna say in all fairness, if the conversation is between Karen and Gizelle, then let it stay there. I don’t think it should be a gang-up.”
At this point, Robyn denies that this had turned into a gang-up session of Karen, “It’s not a gang-up.”
In a green screen interview, Robyn says, “Wendy is defending the same woman that wanted no parts of her last year. I know you got new boobs and everything, but d*mn, did you change your personality?” Karen then focuses her efforts on shading Robyn, “Robyn, this is enough. And I’m the one that’s walking down the aisle again. When is your wedding?” After Robyn says the wedding will happen after Covid and she asks when Karen’s big vow renewal will be, Karen answers with, “It will be soon in a protected environment where loved ones can come together and wish each other well in a real wedding, in a real relationship.”
