Gary With The Tea doesn’t hold back.
When it comes to “Real Housewives of Potomac” longtime supporters of Bravo are quick to say that it’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” that made it possible for RHOP to exist. Since black women are prominent on both shows, they are often compared. And although RHOP doesn’t lack when it comes to drama, it still hasn’t reached the level of RHOA in terms of popularity and viewership.
But Bravo is hoping that will change with more promotion. So they told Nicki Minaj that they would accommodate her after she said she wanted to host this season’s reunion.
Porsha Williams and her Dish Nation cohosts discussed the possibility of Nicki hosting the reunion. Da Brat asked who was here for the idea and who wasn’t. Gary With Da Tea made it clear that he doesn’t want Nicki to step into Andy Cohen’s shoes.
He said, “I’m not here for it.” Gary continued, “The girls from Potomac are very classy, elegant ladies. That is not Nicki’s lane, honey. She needs to just stay right over there with the Housewives of Atlanta where the girls are a little bit more raunchy and ghetto.”
At this moment, Porsha’s cohosts wanted to point out that they don’t think that Porsha is ghetto. Gary agreed, and then he went on to say the rest of the RHOA cast is ghetto which is more fitting for Nicki, “She’s not ghetto but the rest of them kind of ghetto. And that’s where Nicki need to be at.”
