Ashley Darby denies being colorist.
Candiace Dillard believes that colorism is at play when it comes to the criticism she receives from “Real Housewives of Potomac” viewers. Months ago, an Instagram user stated that Ashley Darby has actually done much worse than Candiace. But they don’t understand why she doesn’t receive the same amount of criticism that Candiace receives.
In response to this, Candiace told the fan that Ashley gets a pass because she’s light-skinned.
At the previous reunion, Wendy Osefo said that she took issue with Ashley saying that she had been aggressive towards her. This was after Wendy got into it with Ashley because Baby Dean showed up at Monique Samuels’ lakehouse trip. Monique told Ashley that she could bring her baby. But Wendy didn’t ask and she was upset because she thought she had to leave her daughter at home.
On the current season, some viewers have stated that they feel colorism is at play. They think Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, and Ashley are being colorist towards Wendy.
Well, Ashley responded to these accusations on Instagram on the Bravo Shade Room’s post. She wrote, “The discussion regarding colorism and me makes no sense. I love women of all shades and have never said anything to the contrary. Call me messy, fivehead – I really don’t care – but I will not let those comments pass because they do not represent my views at all.”
