Kenya Moore Responds After It’s Reported She’s Been Fired from RHOA

The rumors are addressed.

Kenya Moore opened up more about her issues with Marc Daly on the latest season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” She also didn’t hold back her views on Bolo Gate. And it seemed pretty clear that she and Kandi Burruss were the only two who were a sure bet to return for season 14. However, recently, blogs reported that Kenya was fired and would not appear on the upcoming season.

She addressed the rumor on Instagram Live recently after a follower asked if it was true that she was fired from RHOA.

In response to this, Kenya said, “Someone’s asking me about Housewives. No, the rumors are not true. You guys, it came from some not credible source. The rumors are not true so don’t believe things you hear. Unless you hear it from me, it’s not true. So the rumors are not true about Housewives.”

“Dancing With the Stars” is a lifelong dream.

She also discussed the fact that she will be on the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars” as well. “I’m here because this is like a lifelong dream for me. My grandmother and I used to watch ‘Dancing With the Stars’ every week when I was in Detroit when I was growing up. Even if I wasn’t there, we would talk on the phone and we would watch it together over the phone. It was her favorite show.” Kenya continued, “She introduced me to dance. We didn’t have money growing up in Detroit so she took myself and my Aunt Lisa who is her child, her daughter, to community classes, free community center classes where we learned to dance. And we had recitals and I remember we had to sell tickets or either…you know how you have to sell candy to earn money for something? So I think we had to get that so we could get money for our costumes and stuff.”

Kenya Moore became teary-eyed while discussing her grandmother.

Kenya added, “But I just remember falling in love with dancing.”

The RHOA star became emotional while discussing her grandmother. “But it just opened my eyes to art and I just fell in love with the discipline and everything it represented. I just felt like my creative side came alive and I felt so happy. So for me, it’s…being here is very nostalgic because it represented a time where my grandmother and I were just two peas in a pod. And you guys know if you watch Housewives I lost my grandmother who raised me four years ago, right after I got married.”

Her grandmother’s death has been really hard for her. “And it was tough. To be here, I wanted her to be here with me and see me all the way through but that didn’t happen. But I’m here for her. And I’m here for my daughter.”

  • I'm truly sorry about her grandmother, but why is she always lying. I'm younger than Kenya, and Dancing With the Stars didn't premiere until I was a grown woman, so how did she watch it "growing up"?

    • A Liar and DRAMA QUEEN!! Wish the rumors were true!! The show would be better without her because she is a M&M!!

    • Dancing with the stars isn't necessarily new. It actually used to come on CBS along with Circus with the stars waaaay back.

      • Google it, DWTS premiered in 2005. And I used to watch Circus with the Stars, I don't recollect any version of DWTS being on CBS. The closest thing they had was Solid Gold, which was a completely different show, she just lied.

  • I tried to tell the haters Kenya was not fired but they didn't want to listen. They will be seething as usual next season because Kenya is going nowhere. She makes the show!

  • As much as Kenya irritates me, it just wouldn't make sense to let her go right now. She's one of the main ones who is always going to bring the drama. So I never believed the rumor anyway. Sounded like bs. Bravo is going to keep Kenya and Porsha if possible since so many of the other vets are gone.

  • I think these rumors were started by someone who wishes Kenya was fired. That kind of goes with my confusion with people who take these shows so seriously that they literally can't stand someone they don't even know personally. Kenya is entertaining. I don't take what she does on the show personally. She does her job. That's it. RHOA needs her. You can't have RHOA without drama and a troublemaker. RHOP works because there are multiple troublemakers.

  • Mental health is real, this poor thing said when she was growing up she watched Dancing with the Stars with her Grandmother??…Alrighty then…there truly is some abandonment issues which manifests with delusional tendencies. Some people get celebrity when they should get love. Self love is the greatest love of all..

  • I guess they will lie until it becomes truth. In the meantime I'm glad my girl is back for another season. I'll never understand the Kenya hate though because the fan favorite Porsha has done much worse on and off the show. Yet the same people who hate Kenya adore Porsha. So what's up?

    • I think the only group of fans who hate Kenya are Porsha's fans. And to be honest, they aren't real Porsha fans. They only started liking her after she assaulted Kenya. Kandi and Kenya have haters because they are the most authentic. The faker you are, the most fans you have with some Housewives viewers.

    • They are too invested. I treat RHOA like a soap opera. Every character has a role to play and Kenya makes RHOA worth watching. Kenya seems really cool outside of the show too so I don't take her actions on TV seriously.

  • After a tad bit of Googling, DWS didn’t come into fruition until June 1, 2005. So when was Kenya born? 🤔 She’s far from being child.

    Y’all do the Math 🤨

  • Hate her or love her, there's no RHOA without Kenya. Someone has to bring the drama because if everyone gets along, people would complain about how boring it is. I just need Porsha to sign her contract.
