Ashley Darby has had enough.
Candiace Dillard and Ashley Darby will discuss their ongoing issues on the upcoming episode of “Real Housewives of Potomac.” Ashley brings up the time that Candiace insinuated that she is Michael Darby’s slave. However, Candiace says that she never called Ashley a slave. So Ashley also brings up the time that Candiace called Michael an “overseer” on Twitter.
Ashley says, “You called me a slave. That’s not a projection, that’s not an interpretation, that’s not the outside coming in…that’s you saying it out of your mouth.” She continues, “You said Michael drives his slaves.”
After Candiace denies calling Ashley a slave, Robyn Dixon interjects. “You said at the dinner…at the next dinner you called Michael a slave driver.” Producers then come with the receipts.
Candiace once again says she didn’t and Robyn says she actually did.
Candiace references the “overseer” tweet. “I tweeted two years ago that Michael….something about him being an overseer. You took it upon yourself because you have nothing else going on to bring that up…and your husband has talked about my husband.”
And Ashley responds with, “Okay, so Michael calling Chris white tr*sh is one thing. A white man talking to a white man. But you came out of your mouth and called me a slave. You’re the one who wrote it. This is you not taking accountability again, again, and again.”
Candice goes on to accuse Ashley of using her for a storyline. “Earn your check a different way.” And Ashley snaps, “Girl, I got my check before you sat your a*s on this couch! I got it then, I’ma get it now, and I’ma keep getting it! Okay?”
At this point, Candiace tells Ashley to earn her check on her own terms. And Ashley doesn’t back down, “And I do. I do. You are the person who chooses to make me the subject of your discussions.” She adds, “You’re intending to offend me.”
Candiace begins to get a bit emotional. “But you have done f*cked up things to me. I’m not gonna cry…And I hold those grudges.” As Candiace begins to dab her eyes with a folded tissue, Ashley asks, “What did I do to offend you?”
