Carlos King wants to see Martell Holt and Melody Holt’s lives post-divorce.
Martell Holt is easily one of the most controversial “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” cast members. When it comes to his failed marriage to Melody Holt, some viewers place most of the blame on him. He cheated on Melody. And she accused him of cheating with multiple women. However, he received a lot of backlash for fathering a child outside of their marriage. After Melody decided a divorce was the only logical next move, Martell began to question if he would be fired from LAMH.
Carlos King revealed this during an interview with DJ Richie Skye. This happened after Richie questioned if fans will see the Holts date other people on the show.
In response to this, Carlos said, “For me, I would love to see what life is like post-divorce. And I think the audience would want to see what it looks like. I think the audience would want to see like, ‘How is Melody on a date? What does that look like? Or how does Martell court a woman? What does that look like?'”
Carlos King had to assure Martell Holt he wouldn’t be fired from LAMH.
He continued, “So I definitely think if it’s happening in their real life, we will show it because I’m all about showing them.” Carlos added, “And it’s interesting because I remember talking to Martell. So when it was officially happening that he was going through a divorce, he did ask me, ‘Does that mean I’m off the show?’ And I’m like, ‘No! Absolutely not.'”
Carlos believes Martell still has a story to tell.
“Because think about it, when people see other reality shows, when a woman and her husband divorce, you don’t see the guy again. He vanishes off…never existed. Right? Well, Martell was like, ‘Is that going to happen to me?’ I said, ‘No. You have just as much of a story as anybody else on the show. Martell, it’s your show, too.'”
