KP isn’t feeling the crew.
KP and Tim throw a community event to help small business owners promote themselves. When it comes to his shop, it will open back up soon. Things were put on hold because of the pandemic. However, KP wants to move on from most of the artists who were working there because he doesn’t feel they have been loyal. In fact, he believes they are more loyal to Lemeir.
Lemeir has been busy with his business and a new baby with his fiancée Danielle. And they are pregnant with baby number two. Nessie tells Lemeir that KP put out a social media message saying he’s looking for new artists. So they are suspecting that KP is about to fire them.
KP has a meeting with who he still wants to work with: Star, Cory, Tim, and Alana. Alana says that Vudu and Nessie are upset that he’s done with them. However, KP doesn’t care. He was over them when they said that Lemeir would be a better boss than him.
Is KP doing too much?
Lemeir really feels as if KP crossed the line with how he’s treating his artists. The team meeting Star called should have happened a long time ago. And all the artists have the potential to be massive in their own right.
The meeting is a disaster. Lemeir doesn’t even show up. This upsets KP. Plus, KP and Tim argue with everyone there and rub Star the wrong way. In fact, Tim nearly comes to blows with Ink Drippin. KP tells Barbie she’s not needed and brings nothing to the shop. Vudu is called out for working at another shop in Venice while KP’s shop was closed because of the pandemic. And she feels this is unfair because she had to pay her bills.
At this point, none of the artists are sure they even want to work with KP anymore. It’s clear he’s really upset that it was said that Lemeir would be a better boss.
Lemeir and KP have another blowup.
Ceaser tries to step in to help KP and Lemeir hash out their issues. He realized that he could have been even more successful at this point of his career if he didn’t fall out with his friends. So he calls a meeting between KP and Lemeir. And to no surprise, it’s tense from the start. KP ends up telling Lemeir that he doesn’t even want him at his shop. An argument ensues. And the two men have to be restrained before they get violent.
After the blowup, Ceaser realizes that things are messier in Compton than in New York.
