Jarrette Jones was hurt when Mallory Zapata rejected his proposal.
Season 2 of “Love Is Blind” has been a hot topic on social media. To no surprise, most of the couples struggled to prove that love is blind. And one of the couples started off with a very controversial foundation.
Jarrette Jones enjoyed getting to know the different women in the pods. But he felt he really bonded with Iyanna McNeely and Mallory Zapata. After he had some time to think, he decided that he had stronger romantic feelings for Mallory. So he proposed to her while they were in the pods, but Mallory told him that she had a greater connection to Salvador Perez. So she turned down Jarrette’s proposal. This left him in tears. Mallory would later accept Sal’s proposal.
Although Jarrette was heartbroken about being rejected by Mallory, he went on to propose to Iyanna. Iyanna was a little fearful to move forward with Jarrette because she didn’t want to be treated like his second choice. However, she went with her heart and accepted the proposal.
“Love Is Blind” fans worried Jarrette Jones would hurt Iyana McNeely.
However, fans were not happy to see Mallory and Jarrette talking to each other during the couples’ retreat. At this point, it was clear that Mallory had become hesitant about moving forward with Sal. And Jarrette wanted her to see he had been the better fit for her.
Some viewers feel as if Jarrette’s actions are proof that Iyanna was indeed just his second choice. And they wouldn’t get married by the end of the show. Interestingly enough, Iyanna and Jarrette did actually get married. However, that has not silenced all of the criticism. In fact, Iyanna recently responded when an Instagram user said that Jarette doesn’t actually love her because she is second best.
In response to this, Iyanna wrote, “Lmbo y’all focused on the wrong things. We’re dating 15 different people, it’s gonna happen. I also had a second connection but figured it out two days before that big headed boy. I was more concerned about being treated as a second choice. ??♀️ Imma be okay regardless. Don’t worry lovelies ❤️ ❤️.”
Iyanna went on to tell her supporters that she loves them, too.
“Girl I love y’all. I truly feel the love from all the concern and support.? I feel like I got a lot of friends I don’t even know. lol”
