Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker find out about Brandon Black and Dom’Unique Variety’s romance.
When it comes to “Kandi & the Gang,” the show has made it clear that OLG is dealing with some staffing issues. Some of the employees have done some unprofessional things. But despite this, Kandi Burruss doesn’t want to fire people. She wants to remain loyal to people who were loyal to the restaurant at the height of the pandemic. However, Kandi and Todd Tucker still want the business to improve. So they hired Phillip Frempong as the Director of Operations. On the upcoming episode, it’s revealed that Kandi and Todd now know that Brandon Black is dating Dom’Unique Variety. And the issue with that is Brandon is the restaurant’s general manager. And Dom’Unique is a bartender.
Phillip and Don Juan confront Brandon about this.
In a preview, Don Juan says, “So basically, it’s cameras in here. And I think sometimes people don’t realize. I’m looking through and Kandi and Todd are looking through. This is what they see.” Don Juan shows Brandon footage of him making out with Dom’Unique. He continues, “This is a real moment. So are you in a whole relationship right now that I’m not aware of?”
Brandon confirms the romance, “We date, we have been out outside of the restaurant.” And Don Juan doesn’t think this is a good idea, “This could become a problem for the organization.”
Is Brandon Black a part of the problem?
Phillip chimes in, “It’s clearly a conflict of interest if this is something that you’re gonna pursue. Then how do we make this not a conflict of interest?” Brandon’s response was one that Phillip and Don Juan weren’t expecting. He answers, “I’m not opposed to having her work at another location if that works.”
In a green screen interview, Don Juan says, “You cannot be serious, sir.”
Don Juan explains that Dom’Unique cannot be sent away to another restaurant.
“I’m just gonna be honest from a Human Resources standpoint, you’re a manager having a relationship with someone that they manage. I can’t expect the person, that you manage, to move and ship them. I can’t really switch it up for her.”
Brandon has another suggestion, “Well we just have to cut off all communications while we’re at work. I mean I don’t know what that looks like.”
And Phillip speaks his mind in a green screen interview, “Brandon is again not really managing a situation and being active in it. It allowed to really see that a lot of the problem is Brandon.”
A manager should definitely not be dating anybody at the company. That’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.
