Apollo Nida is back in the headlines.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum Phaedra Parks gave an interesting update during her first season of “Married to Medicine.” She told her cast mates that she and Apollo Nida actually have a good co-parenting relationship. Fans of RHOA know how much of a journey it was for Apollo and Phaedra to arrive at a place of peace. Their breakup occurred while Apollo was preparing for another prison sentence. So when Toya Bush-Harris noticed that Apollo didn’t attend their son’s birthday party, Apollo showed up to the “Married to Medicine” reunion to show his support for Phaedra and confirm they are very much cordial despite their past.
Interestingly enough, Apollo made the headlines recently for what’s been happening in his second marriage. According to In Touch, Apollo was arrested in March of this year. His wife, Sherien Almufti, called the police and alleged Apollo put his hands on her during a tense argument they had over alleged cheating.
Apollo Nida’s wife said they have moved on from the incident.
The police report filed by Sherien alleged she and Apollo got into an argument about how they were allegedly “cheating on each other” after she returned from drinking at a bar with friends. Apollo allegedly showed her a video of her kissing another man. Then he allegedly pulled her by the hair and pushed her against a refrigerator. This resulted in a scuffle and Sherien ran outside the house to call the police.
Police said Sherien showed them video evidence of the argument. But there was no footage of the alleged physical altercation or visible bruises on Sherien. As for Apollo, he told officers they did argue. He tried to take Sherien’s phone away while she was balled up on the floor.
Apollo was placed in custody and charged with simple assault and domestic violence. He posted a $3000 bond and was released hours after being booked.
Despite the arrest, Sherien insists that she and Apollo worked through their issues.
She told In Touch, “It was a huge blow out between a married couple that has brought us much closer since then. We have worked through our issues and have been going to couples therapy. The end.”
So Sherien is still cheating because I recall reading she was cheating on Apollo at the beginning of their relationship too…
Their “marriage” sounds like a disaster.
Idk Phaedra’s reaction to him in one of those scenes on RHOA made me think he can get aggressive with women.
She acted afraid of him and I understand because he beat up Kenya’s guy friend.
If she feels like they are in a good place then so be it
I will never understand why two people who are CHEATING on each other would stay married.Apollo showed signs of AGGRESSION on rhoa when he was married to Pha Pha and with his new wife on Couples Retreat he definitely needs ANGER MANAGEMENT classes.
The same reason why some people stay with cheating partners. You still going to get exposed to STDs. Even if 1 is cheating.
