Martell Holt’s brother plans to plead guilty to conspiring to smuggle drugs into a Madison County, AL jail.
This season of “Love and Marriage: Huntsville” has been one of the most unique parts of the series. This is due to the number of cast members who have been arrested during the season and filming: Martell Holt, Destiny Payton, and Maurice Scott. Martell was convicted for sending his ex-wife Melody Rodgers threatening text messages, which is now being appealed. Destiny was arrested for an identity theft charge filed by her ex-husband, LeBarrick Williams, and has a hearing in July.
Family members of the cast were also arrested, including Chris Fletcher and Nell Fletcher’s sons. Martell’s brother Montez Holt was arrested as well. Montez was arrested earlier this year on charges of conspiracy of intent to distribute drugs. The warrant for Montez’s arrest detailed allegations of his attempt to smuggle drugs, including methamphetamine and fentanyl, into a jail.
According to documents obtained by Urban Belle, Montez was accused of conspiring with two men in the Madison County Jail who were caught lifting the contraband into the jail through a window. The men used a rope of bedding tied together to lift the drugs left by Montez outside the prison. Per the documents, Montez pleaded guilty to this and multiple other charges related to this alleged crime. Lastly, Montez will also plead guilty to a September 2023 charge for possession of Marijuana.
This is the latest in a long list of cases for the Holt family. Martell is due back in court in September for a jury trial regarding his appeal of the Domestic Violence – Threatening Communications this fall. He also faces the loss of visitation with his children if he fails to consistently attend family counseling sessions and obtain a psychological evaluation.

Sometimes parents can do the best they can to steer their children in the right directions, but when they become grown, it’s the choice they make, and there are parents who make excuses. Why you running the cast family members down, that have criminal histories down. Tell us about the cast family members that are during positive things on this journey call life. Just found out Maurice Scott has four biological children instead of one and stepson.(we understand privacy matters) Huntsville seems like a nice city, planning on visiting it!
