Jassi Rideaux’s revelation about her relationship led to interesting conversations.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” newbie Jassi Rideaux made an interesting revelation on the most recent episode. During the girls’ trip, Stacey Rusch received a lot of heat and judgment regarding her decision to be celibate. Stacey is going through a divorce but she’s been dating a man named TJ (Thomas Anthony Jones). TJ is a devout Christian who expressed to Stacey that he wants to wait until marriage to be intimate. While Stacey didn’t see the big deal, Gizelle Bryant and the others were critical.
Gizelle thought it was fishy for a man to resist his urges despite being a man of God. Her history with ex-husband Jamal Bryant likely contributed to this view. Mia Thornton said Stacey isn’t getting any because she’s “too stiff.” Ashley Darby struggled to understand why anyone would be celibate. Regardless, Stacey said she isn’t worried about TJ possibly disappointing her when they take that step. And she said TJ’s looks and personality are enough to make her confident about how that will go.
Stacey figured it was time for Jassi Rideaux to open up about her relationship since TJ had been a hot topic for most of the trip. Jassi had already told everyone she is dating Darius Harris. He plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. While she does see marriage for them in the future, she admitted they suffered some “bumps in the road.” She then went on to say that Darius has children.
Jassi said, “He’s a great father to two boys that were both either there or already created before me.”
When she was asked about the children’s ages, she answered:
“The children are three and turned one a month ago.”
She then elaborated.
“When he and I were dating, she was about maybe two or three months pregnant. She was already pregnant before we even had ***.”
Darius Harris’ ex responded on Instagram.
Gizelle asked if Darius knew and Jassi said he didn’t know which led to her learning about the children later. Jassi stated she’s been with Darius for two years.
The timeline given caused the ladies to do some math in their heads. In a green screen interview, Gizelle said it seemed like Jassi was lying to make herself look better. Gizelle suspected that Darius cheated on Jassi and she made the choice to stay. And Gizelle thinks Jassi should just say that instead of doing damage control.
Well, Jassi had some things to say on social media after the episode aired. But Darius’ baby mother got some things off her chest first. She left a couple of comments on The Neighborhood Talk’s Instagram page. According to DJ Richie Skye, she said she didn’t like that her children were brought up on “Real Housewives of Potomac.”
Charlysa Porter wrote, “It’s nothing to beef over but making them the narrative every episode is sickening.. like he has kids okay! Y’all weren’t together! Just be honest it’s that simple but don’t try and down play him and I to make yourself look better.. is all I’m saying.. and ppl in the comments dragging him off what she said when the story she’s telling is furthest from the truth! He knew of each one of his children.. he didn’t find out when I was 2 or 3 months pregnant.. we got pregnant each year on each other’s birthday! But before you try and come for me know the real narrative… I don’t want anyone to kiss my *** but we’re honest over here!”
Jassi took to Instagram Story to say she would explain everything in a future interview.
Idk it just seems like some black women will tolerate anything just to be with a professional athlete. That scene with Jassi talking to Mia about enjoying Darius’s penthouse when she found out about the kids said a lot.
Welcome to reality TV Jassi I don’t think you were ready for this part…
This is why I never understood the hype about being with a rapper or athlete.
Jassi girl your math is not mathing.
It is looking more and more like Jassi was the side chick whether she knew it or not. Yikes. LOL.
Jassi thinks she won the lotto because a professional athlete is wifing her after he impregnated someone else twice. Self esteem is in h-ll for some.
