Lateshia’s tears fail to move Latrice and Marie to squash their beef.
The episode begins with Lateshia crying as she speaks to Glenn and Marie. Latrice and Marie aren’t putting their beef aside for the greater collective. She says their beef is tarnishing the entire group. Despite her plea, Marie isn’t moving on the request. She then talks to Latrice, who emphasizes that she’s done with Marie. Meanwhile, Marie tells Aikisha and Selena that Latrice is malicious and she doesn’t need that in her life.

Marie and her cousin talk about their issues to no avail.
Later, Marie meets with her cousin Nettie, and the conversation starts off cold. Eventually, they talk about the elephant in the room. Nettie feels Marie doesn’t spend enough time with their family. Marie retorts about this, saying she doesn’t have the time due to running her clinic. She then asks Nettie why she wasn’t around to help her with her Lupus complications. Nettie says she didn’t come around because Marie didn’t want her around.
At the end of their conversation, Marie invites Nettie to the opening of another office in Meridian, MS. Nettie says she’ll be there, but doesn’t seem committed.

Aikisha explains how Selena ended up at the fish fry.
Later, Aikisha hangs out with JJ and SoGucci at the gym. Aikisha explains why Selena ended up at the picnic. She tells them Latrice brought Selena as a plus one since Cliff wasn’t attending.
Willie’s on FaceTime and tells JJ he needs to work on his relationship with his daughters and Selena. JJ makes it clear that he has no interest in making peace with Selena. SoGucci also explains she can’t be around Selena because of the No-Contact Order issued by the courts.
Meanwhile, Selena tells her daughters about the order and how they could end up in jail if they come in contact with one another.

Marie receives devasting news.
Things get emotional for Marie when she learns about her friend’s lung prognosis. Her friend and business partner, Essie, who also suffers from Lupus, will need a lung transplant. Essie breaking the news to Marie causes Marie to cry. Marie’s worried about Essie, but Essie tries to reassure her everything will be fine.

Later, Lateshia stops by the office because she had a doctor’s appointment nearby. Despite Marie reeling emotionally, she puts on her best face to talk to Lateshia about what happened at the fish fry. They recap what happened with Latrice, and Lateshia said she cried not for herself but for the collective. Lateshia is adamant that Latrice and Marie need to squash their beef for the betterment of the collective. However, Marie says Latrice looked evil, so she didn’t want to talk to her.

Next, SoGucci is working out with her friend Kim. This has been Kim’s first time seeing SoGucci since SoGucci’s altercation with Selena. She tells Kim she wants JJ to put what happened behind him and work on his relationship with his daughters. Kim says for that to happen, SoGucci needs to extend an olive branch to the daughters and Selena.
SoGucci then talks about her daughter, who is going through a terrible breakup. She’s fearful that she isn’t doing well because of it and frequently checks in on her. Overall, everything is weighing on SoGucci, and she begins to break down in front of Kim, who hugs her.

Marie’s cousin disappoints, and Lateshia gets upsetting news from Glen.
Later, Marie celebrates the opening of her new clinic. Lateshia and SoGucci join her, along with Marie’s father and brother.
They become sentimental when her father arrives, and he speaks about raising Marie and her brother by himself. Despite this positivity, Marie is disappointed that Nettie broke her promise to show up.

Lastly, Glen and Lateshia are on a property, and Lateshia’s ready to buy it. However, the conversation turns sour when he tells her they need to hold off on buying it for now. He uses this moment to tell Lateshia he decided to quit his job.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger.

Aikisha calls out Carlos King and production for her appearance during the opening credits.
In other news, Aikisha took to social media to express displeasure with the opening credits. She’s shown twerking, and she feels it wasn’t flattering.

In a post to X, she says she told producers not to use it. She feels embarrassed over this. Also, during a recent podcast episode, Aikisha’s husband Willie agreed and said if everyone were doing something similar in their opening credits shot, that would be one thing.
