On the season premiere of “Love & Hip Hop: Miami,” Trina’s new marriage frustrates and concerns those close to her. Amara and Florence’s issues worsen. Here are the highlights for, “Black & White.”
Trina’s new marriage is already frustrating those closest to her.
Trina and Trick Daddy were scheduled to perform at an event, but the evening is stressful for both artists. Trick is upset that Trina and her team arrived at the venue late. To make matters worse, Trina also has a wardrobe malfunction before they even take the stage. Joy and Trick feel as if Trina has been dropping the ball lately because she’s distracted by Swurv, her husband. Trina and Swurv secretly married recently.
Trick doesn’t hold back his thoughts. He calls Trina out for missing rehearsal and still not being ready to take the mic. Joy isn’t spared. Trick calls her and Trina’s team out for not holding her accountable for unprofessionalism. The performance is a disaster due to Trina’s mic not working properly and her wardrobe malfunction.
An email makes Bobby worry about Trina’s husband.
Bobby speaks to Angela and her boyfriend Derrick. Angela used to be known as Black Chyna. She has since changed her life due to becoming a Christian. Bobby praises Angela for turning a new leaf. He’s inspired by her glow. Angela looks happy and healthy. The focus on positivity makes Angela worry that a move to Miami could complicate things. She doesn’t want any drama in her life or setbacks.
Trick isn’t the only person who doesn’t approve of Trina’s new marriage. Bobby meets up with Hawt Topic. She says she doesn’t see much of Trina anymore and that’s been the norm since Swurv entered Trina’s life. Hawt Topic suspects Swurv is an opportunist with the intention to use Trina. Bobby wonders the same since he received a “mysterious email.” In the five-paragraph letter, someone alleged Swurv is a deadbeat dad who manipulates women. And he allegedly “stalked Trina at a hot dog stand” to maneuver his way into her life.
Hawt Topic tells Bobby to tell Trina about the email before she does it first.
Florence and Amara get into a scuffle at their sit-down.
Amara has a sit-down with Florence and Eliza. She has tension with both women over her failed relationship with Safaree. Amara tells them she was engaged to Safaree briefly. She didn’t like how Eliza exposed Safaree for attempting to date both of them simultaneously. Amara also calls out Florence for getting in the studio with Safaree. Florence points out that she didn’t know Safaree and Amara were engaged. But she thinks Amara’s real issue is her sister has been seeing Amara’s baby daddy. Amara claps back by alleging that Marlon has been flirty with her.
An argument ensues between Flo and Amara. At the height of the tension, Florence throws a drink in Amara’s direction and Amara pops her before security separates them.
Despite the altercation, Amara and Eliza make peace after Florence makes her dramatic exit.
