A judge notes Destiny Payton may not keep her child away from her ex-husband amid their latest court drama.

La’Berrick Williams and “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” cast member Destiny Payton have been going back and forth in court since their nasty divorce. The divorcees have made controversial accusations about one another. In their latest court filings, La’Berrick accused Destiny of keeping their son Law from him for nine days. This was a problem since these nine days happened to be La’Berrick’s court-ordered days with their child. La’Berrick petitioned the court to hold Destiny in contempt, again, for not dropping off Law. In Destiny’s response, she alleged she had a good reason for not handing the child over to his father.

Destiny alleged that La’Berrick was physically abusive towards her and was in fear for her safety. This was highlighted by an arrest of LaBerrick about a month ago in Huntsville, AL. A hearing for the motions filed by LaBerrick and Destiny was initially scheduled for February 13th. Not long after the hearing order was filed, Destiny’s attorneys filed a motion, asking for a continuance, as they have prior obligations. Early Monday morning, the judge over their case obliged. According to a document obtained by Urban Belle, the order has been rescheduled until February 28th.

The order also has the following language confirming that the protection order wasn’t granted.

As the Ex parte Protection from Abuse Order was not granted, the Court notes that the Mother may not withhold the minor child from the Father.

Interestingly, Destiny and LaBerrick appeared to find a resolution. LaBerrick posted a video of him and his son watching the Super Bowl together on his Instagram page.

Despite the video, it remains to be seen if Destiny will continue pursuing the protection order or if LaBerrick will continue seeking to hold Destiny in contempt of their custody order.
