Apollo Nida’s wife, Sherien Copes, filed for divorce after two years of marriage.
Apollo Nida is back in the news this week. It was revealed that his estranged wife, Sherien Copes, filed for divorce from Apollo in October 2024. According to the divorce documents obtained by Urban Belle, the couple has been separated since November 2023. Sherien declares the marriage to Apollo is irreparably broken. She claims Apollo committed adultery, committed acts of cruelty towards her, and ultimately abandoned her.
Despite the allegations of adultery and cruelty, the couple signed a settlement agreement for their divorce. They agreed to divide their property amicably, including Sherien taking the 2020 Dodge Challenger. The former couple also decided not to pay alimony. They can live together in the same house until both parties find a suitable home.
It was also revealed after the couple separated, an order of protection was filed barring either party from harassing one another or their family.
According to In Touch Weekly, all paperwork for the divorce wasn’t filed until February 7th. Previously, Apollo was arrested for domestic violence last year. Apollo was accused of grabbing Sherien’s hair and pushing her against the refrigerator as the couple argued about cheating on one another. Apollo admitted to grabbing her phone. Sherien noted that the two were working on their issues after this incident.
This news drops as Dr. Heavenly Kimes invited Apollo to their couple’s trip this season of “Married to Medicine.” This is the trip where Quad Webb’s boyfriend allegedly assaulted Dr. G.
I’m not surprised. But I do remember how condescending Sherien was when folks tried to tell her Apollo wasn’t a prize.
