In part one of the “Real Housewives of Potomac” reunion, Wendy and Karen’s friendship fizzles out. Plus, a trip to Miami lands Mia in the hot seat with the others.
Karen and Wendy’s friendship is done.
Weeks before the reunion is filmed, Karen does a video interview with a producer after she is convicted of DUI. She denies being an alcoholic and breaks down in tears when talking about how her situation has been affecting her family. All she can do is encourage her supporters to make better decisions than she made.

At the beginning of the reunion, Andy brings up Karen’s absence. He says Karen isn’t there because she recently checked herself into rehab. Wendy and Mia question if Karen went to rehab to lighten her sentence. Stacey says this isn’t fair and they need to all be supportive. However, Wendy believes friends are able to ask tough questions.
Karen sends a message to the ladies via a video. She thanks Gizelle, Keiarna, Jassi, Andy, and Candiace for sending her words of encouragement. She admits to using alcohol and antidepressants.
Wendy isn’t feeling the video. She says she also reached out to Karen and supported her throughout the season. But seeing how Karen is moving and thinking back on what Stacey told her; she’s certain Karen is not her friend.
Andy points out that a memorable comment from the video from Karen is she would return as herself and not the Grande Dame.

Wendy has more to say about her former friend.
Gizelle and Wendy discuss their decision to move forward and be friendly. Both admit they really do enjoy each other now. They are happy they can laugh together.
Wendy has more to say about Karen. She regrets taking her to the White House.

Gizelle believes Karen likes to befriend the new women in the group so she can secure more allies. Wendy adds that Karen will turn on someone when she sees they don’t need her to have a strong position in the group. She warns Keiarna to watch out for Karen. Keiarna appreciates Wendy’s advice but she feels she saw a different side of Karen when she supported her when she was hospitalized for the brawl.
Ashley has another divorce update.
Jassi joins the stage. She and Darius are engaged and plan to wed in the summer.
Andy reads a question from a viewer who asks if she was the side chick. She says she was never a side chick even though people had questions about the timeline of her relationship.

Ashley is asked about the status of her divorce. She confirms that she and Michael have filed all the required paperwork. So they are just waiting on the state to finalize their divorce. She will not get alimony but she will receive child support. Stacey will receive alimony but not child support.
Mia feels the pressure.
When Andy asks Mia what her status is with Gordon, she says they are in the final stages of their divorce. The other women don’t believe this. But Mia says she and Gordon’s divorce will be final soon.
Mia is put in the hot seat after it’s revealed she stood up Jassi and Stacey in Miami. When she tries to deny this, Stacey pulls out receipts. Mia apologizes and breaks down in tears. Wendy isn’t having it. She says Mia cries whenever she is called out. And this ends now.

It’s time for the cast to take a five-minute break. Mia goes to Stacey to apologize again. When Mia begins to cry again, Stacey tells Mia she’s not being genuine. Mia goes back to her room and breaks down.

What are your thoughts on the first part of the reunion?
Idk Andy and them hyped this reunion up as being so great like the binder one and I was bored the whole time. I’m starting to worry about RHOP.
You know I had to circle back after I watched the full episode. Karen is so disappointing. She still doesn’t think she has a drinking problem. She refuses to be vulnerable and tell her truth and that makes her a frustrating housewife to watch. I don’t understand her anymore. I hope she gets the help she needs. As far as Wendy, after watching I think she’s right to conclude Karen isn’t her real friend.
Boring a-s reunion and season. I’m tired of hearing about Karen’s drinking and Mia’s lying. Nobody else has a storyline. Wrap it up.
Wendy is hurt that Karen didn’t take her questioning as friendship. Karen is hurt that Wendy questioned her like that when she stood up for Wendy when the others were trying to freeze her out. Karen knew that Giselle and Ashley were messy that is who they are. I think Wendy doing it felt different. ALL the ladies have said Wendy is one way in private and another on camera. Mia was trying to take Candice place with the tears 😢. Candice wore everyone out with the tears, so they not working. Mia should try be honest.
Karen is probably doing that video..on the set of “Beyond the Gates” it’s a show on CBS she will be making appearances.. The show start 2/24/2025
