On the latest episode of “Basketball Wives,” Chantel and Jackie’s relationship is put in focus amid Brandi and Chantel’s feud. Here are the highlights for, “Wacky Attackin’ Jackie.”
Chantel and Brandi’s fallout continues.
The episode begins with the continuation of Evelyn’s tense birthday dinner. Jackie says they should put their grievances out on the table. So Shaunie says Brandi has had a “stank” attitude since she arrived. Chantel strongly agrees. In response, Brandi tells Chantel she needs to stay in a child’s place. Chantel says she’s 31 years old and Brandi is being disrespectful.
Jackie steps in and tells Brandi not to refer to Chantel as a child.
Brandi apologizes to Jackie for her exchange with Chantel. This triggers Chantel and she gets up to leave. Brittany hugs her and tells her she’s proud of Chantel. Jackie prepares to leave with Chantel as well. However, Chantel tells Jackie she doesn’t want her to leave with her. She’s fine.

This is all brought up again the next day to Chantel. Evelyn tells Chantel she expected Jackie to go off on Brandi and was surprised she remained calm. Chantel agrees. This has been triggering because she feels like Jackie wasn’t always there for her in the past.
When the group reunites, Brandi attempts to hash things out with Chantel privately. However, Chantel believes Brandi should apologize to her in front of the group since they witnessed the disrespect. Brandi gives up.
Chantel questions why Brandi apologized to Jackie but not her. Brandi apologized to Jackie because she disrespected her daughter.
The conversation turns into Jackie and Chantel’s relationship, a topic Jackie refuses to entertain.

Brittany and Chantel step aside to talk more about Jackie. Chantel says she doesn’t understand why her relationship with Jackie has to be so complicated. Brittany says Jackie’s behavior reminds her of her own issues with her mother. In her opinion, Chantel deserves better.

Jackie and Brittany’s issues worsen after Brittany asks Jackie what she’s had to drink. Realizing Brittany is likely insinuating she has a drinking problem, Jackie answers she only had water. She then asks what Brittany had to drink under her hijab. This sets off Brittany and Chantel calls out Jackie.

At some point, Brandi apologizes to Chantel. She believes she caused all of the drama they are currently dealing with. Chantel breaks down in tears and says people don’t understand what kind of mother Jackie has been.
Jennifer warns Jackie that Shaunie and Evelyn are meddling in her relationship with Chantel and to not let them succeed. She and Jackie both lost their mothers, so this is an emotional moment for both. Meanwhile, Shaunie and Evelyn console Chantel. Both allege that people have been avoiding discussing Jackie’s mothering for years.

Jackie attempts to take Jennifer’s advice, however, Chantel isn’t receptive. She threatens to call Doug so Jackie walks away.

Still ladies need to remember to act like ladies and NOT wild women making themselves look bad. Jackie needs to quit acting like a bully and a bad azz like people are supposed to be scared of her and whomever. This show won’t change. I don’t care what they do.

I don’t think she childish. I think she has some serious issues with Jackie. Issues that need to be resolved off screen. My mother is like Jackie. Puts on a public face that is sunny and bright. In private she is the total opposite.

That part! Regardless, that is family business and if it wasn’t for her mother, she wouldn’t be on the show, so embarrassing her seems like a bad technique to show your story. Calling her Jackie and not mom, hugging everyone but her is disrespectful, period. She wants to hold her own, then blame her ten seconds later, then wants to call the father. Find another technique and show the vulnerability as a Basketball wife and how she can grow not attack on ready..
