On the latest episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Brit and Kelli’s fallout escalates. Plus, a man shows up at Phaedra’s event to tell Angela that Charles has allegedly been cheating. Here are the highlights for “Chicken and Waffles.”
Brit and Kelli continue to grow apart.
Kelli heads to court for what she anticipates will be the last divorce hearing. Her divorce process has been long and messy. She’s been at this for three years. After four hours, she exits the courthouse. Shamea goes over to Kelli’s home to offer support. Kelli tells Shamea her estranged husband was arrested for not paying child support. This is the second time he’s been arrested for failure to pay. And he allegedly only paid the last time to get out of jail.
Since things didn’t work out in court, Kelli is still not divorced.
Shamea praises Angela for calling to check on Kelli and questions if Kelli has heard from Brit. Kelli hasn’t spoken to Brit since the Grenada trip. And she’s disappointed because she’s always been a supportive friend to Brit.

Porsha is taken aback by accusations made by Brit.
Porsha and Cynthia stop by Brit’s place. She tells them she’s not in the best place with Kelli at the moment. Kelli told her glam team to stop working with Brit because she was getting the short end of the stick during the Nashville trip. So Brit feels like Kelli only did this because Brit looked better in the outfits.
Brit also found out that Kelli’s stylists are now working with Shamea, so it just seems like Kelli just wants to have a problem. While it’s unclear if Shamea knows about the glam team drama, Brit feels like Shamea could have at least shown her support since Brit didn’t tell Porsha about Shamea showing her their text messages.
When Porsha questions if Shamea showed these texts recently, Brit answers yes. She claims that Shamea has “said so many things” about Porsha. Porsha concludes that Shamea showed Brit the text messages about the advice her therapist gave regarding her divorce.
Porsha tells producers that Shamea crossed the line by discussing what her therapist said in their sessions.

Angela and Charles want answers.
Charles and Kelli compete in a waffle cook-off, and some of the ladies come out to taste their best. While Angela is enjoying her waffles, a man named Marcus walks up and asks if they can speak alone. He claims to know Charles. Angela thinks this is strange and does not get up from the table. Not too long after, Marcus urges everyone to take a shot with him and toast to Angela being cheated on. Charles doesn’t hear any of this, but Kelli has her security kick the man out of the event just to be safe.

Ahead of Phaedra’s upcoming event, Porsha FaceTimes her to give a sad update. Her cousin Londie passed away. It was sudden, and the family is in shock. As a result, Porsha won’t be able to attend the fashion event.

At Phaedra’s event, Angela tells the ladies that some people she and Charles know located Marcus to ask him who put him up to his antics. Marcus told them that a man paid him to say what he did. So she and Charles will eventually get to the bottom of this.

Despite Drew telling Phaedra she’d be running late, Phaedra has security lock the doors, and Drew isn’t allowed in. She tells producers she sent Phaedra a video of the traffic she was sitting in and was just 15 minutes behind.
Kelli and Brit go there.
While Cynthia and Angela are still discussing the Marcus of it all, Kelli insinuates that Brit could have hired Marcus. Brit says this isn’t possible because she was entertaining Porsha and Cynthia at her house during the cook-off. Brit tells Kelli she’s being passive-aggressive. They eventually start going back and forth.
Kelli calls Brit’s husband, Mike, her “pill-popping roommate.” In response, Brit alleges that Kelli had multiple abortions while married. Shamea then steps in and says Brit went too low. Brit questions how because Kelli accused her of being a drug addict first.

The one positive highlight of Phaedra’s fashion event is the appearance of her sons. Dylan has started designing his own line of pants, and his older brother Ayden is his manager.

The women learn about Londie.
Once the fashion show is over, Shamea goes over to Brit to ask why she didn’t call Kelli after her divorce hearing was a mess. Brit doesn’t know how to be fake. Kelli has been going around to the other women and talking about her. She doesn’t have to support someone who is hating on her.
With the event nearly over, Phaedra brings the ladies together with the exception of Drew (who is still locked outside), to tell them about Londie passing away. They feel bad for Porsha, who looked at Londie as another little sister.
Producers end the episode with a touching tribute to Londie.

What are your thoughts on the episode?
I don’t care for Brit but she ate Kelli up with ease. I don’t know why Kelli felt entitled to Brit checking in on her when she turned on her to fit in with who she thought was more popular. I see right through people like Kelli and Shamea. They are friends to no one.
It’s too many followers in this group and it hurts the show. They don’t like Brit, Drew or Angela and gaslight them constantly. Kelli was not a victim here. They completely ignored that Kelli started all of it and called Mike a gay pill popper. How was the abortion clap back worse? Also Phaedra is probably the one who paid Marcus. She’s had a weird obsession with Angela since she got there.
Shamea did everything Brit said she did. This is not the first time she has shown someone a text message Porsha sent. Didn’t she show Sheree a text message from Porsha a few seasons ago?
Idk these last couple episodes Brit was not wrong. She’s been reading them too. She probably could have been a decent addition had she handled the Kenya situation better and showed up to the reunion. Brit had Kelli scrambling and running away. I enjoyed that scene lol.
