On the midseason finale of “Basketball Wives,” the group processes Jackie and Chantel’s altercation. Plus, Evelyn and Brittany clash. Here are the highlights for “3some, Two, One, Action!”
The Hawaii trip ends on a somber note.
After Jackie and Chantel get into a physical altercation in Hawaii, producers decide to send Jackie and Chantel home individually to prevent further chaos. The rest of the group talks about what went down as they head to the airport. The Hawaii trip is officially over. Evelyn tells Ming she hasn’t spoken to Jackie and never needs to again. She hopes the world can see who Jackie is now.
Ty meets with Jennifer and Evelyn to talk about the Hawaii drama. Ty and Evelyn think Jackie was wrong to put her hands on Chantel. However, Jennifer believes there are three sides to every story. And she’s not so sure this is all Jackie’s fault.
Jackie has a new bone.
Jennifer goes over to check on Jackie. During a green screen interview, Jennifer says Jackie is still a part of the group, so she wanted to see how she was doing. She is prepping for a screening event for her new movie. Jennifer is inviting everyone, with the exception of Evelyn. But after the recent events, not everyone is positive about going.
Jackie decides to give Jennifer a bone to take back to the others. She alleges that a man called her recently and claimed that Brandi and Ming are messing around and having 3somes.
Ty and Ming clash.
Jennifer has her movie screening. Jackie was in the movie and appeared at the event briefly before leaving. She later texts Jennifer that she was coming down with the flu. Ty says Jackie told her she was going to get some food, and she never saw her again.
After making her thank-you speech, Jennifer chats with Ty and Ming. She tells them what Jackie alleged about Ming and Brandi. Ty thinks Jackie just made up some gossip to deflect and not speak about her issues with Chantel. She thinks deflecting is something Ming and Jackie do often.
Ty asks Ming if she’s in a relationship with the man whose name she tattooed on her body. Ming says she isn’t in a relationship, but Ty doesn’t believe her. She accuses Ming of being a side chick, and this leads to Ming walking away. Ming then says Ty is doing this so she can save her image and get another coaching job. In response, Ty accuses Ming of trying to hide that she’s a ***.
This sets off Ming, and she calls Ty a ***.
Brandi confronts Jennifer.
Ming later recaps what happened with Brandi and Evelyn. Ming also informs them about the rumor Jackie told Jennifer about. Brandi can’t believe that Jackie would allege that she is cheating on Jason. They are in a much better space, and Jackie knows that. And she can’t understand why Jennifer didn’t tell her what Jackie said directly when she wanted everyone to be respectful of Christian.
Jennifer grabs a bite to eat with Chantel, Brittany, and Denise. Brittany confirms she was referencing Jackie and Evelyn when she said the group is toxic.
Chantel decides to make more accusations about Jackie and Doug’s marriage as Brittany and Denise egg her on.
Ming hosts her launch event. Jackie is a no-show but still very much on everyone’s minds. Brandi calls out Jennifer for telling people that Jackie alleged that she heard Ming and Brandi were having 3somes together. She reminds Jennifer that she didn’t want people discussing Christian, so it’s hypocritical of her to spread that rumor. Jennifer can understand where Brandi is coming from and makes it clear that she didn’t believe the rumor anyway.
Evelyn goes off on Brittany.
Jennifer tells the group that Brittany thinks a couple of them are toxic. Evelyn takes this as her moment to ask Brittany what she did to her. Brittany answers that Evelyn ran her mouth, and Evelyn tells Brit she does the same thing. In Evelyn’s opinion, Brittany has been the most toxic person in the group and can’t even say what Evelyn did to her.
Brittany responds that Evelyn is “just a fake *** *****.” Evelyn points out Brittany’s hypocrisy, using this language when she’s supposed to be on a spiritual journey. In her opinion, Brittany is phony.
Brittany says Evelyn is 50 with an OnlyFans page, and Evelyn tells Brittany she is a *** with nothing to show for it.
When Chantel questions how Brittany and Evelyn got to this point, Evelyn asks Chantel if she plans to keep attaching herself to Brittany. It’s not a good look in Evelyn’s opinion. But Chantel thinks Brittany is a real friend she needs to hold on to.
Evelyn calls Brittany “a cancer” and leaves the event.
Jackie and Chantel share their thoughts as they close out the first half of the season.
The cast gives their final thoughts for the mid-season wrap-up. Chantel confirms she hasn’t spoken to Jackie since the Hawaii altercation. She takes accountability for her role in what happened. Chantel is ready to accept the fact that she may never speak to Jackie again, but she still wishes her well. As for Jackie, she feels like the plot was for the ladies to come together to take her down, but they will never be successful because God has her back.
Doug is officially the head coach of the Sacramento Kings. So life is good despite the downs.
