Dr. Heavenly Kimes of Married to Medicine has not spoken publicly about the serious legal issues surrounding her son, Damon Kimes. Court documents show Damon was indicted earlier this year on a felony charge of aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer.

Prosecutors allege that in February 2023, Damon drove his vehicle directly toward a Georgia State University police officer. The officer was on duty at the time. He was not struck, but prosecutors claim the act was dangerous enough to justify an aggravated assault charge under Georgia law. Despite this, prosecutors gave Damon a chance to resolve it through Fulton County’s Pre-Trial Adult Diversion Program.

The consent order outlines the conditions Damon must follow.

A consent order filed on August 5, 2025, exclusively obtained by Urban Belle, puts Damon’s case on judicial hold. The order does not sentence Damon. It pauses prosecution while he completes strict conditions. The program requires 40 hours of community service, mental health counseling, a “Thinking for Good” course, and the creation of a vision board and a reflective essay. He must also take all prescribed medications. In addition, he must meet with diversion staff once a month and complete a mental health evaluation within six months.

Georgia’s Pre-Trial Diversion Program gives eligible defendants a second chance. The program focuses on addressing the root causes of behavior rather than proceeding directly to trial. Defendants who finish successfully often avoid a felony conviction and move forward without a permanent record.

If Damon completes all requirements within the 24-month supervision period, the case will be dismissed. The program allows for early completion in 18 months. If he fails or gets arrested again, prosecutors will move forward with the felony case.

  1. She talks about everyone’s business, kids, spouse, etc. but won’t say a word about her own life and kids. Another Phaedra. They’ll plot on anyone to get out of actually being transparent on the reality shows they are paid to do. It’s ridiculous.

  2. Didn’t one of Heavenly’s neighbors tell police and TMZ she tried to run him down with her car some years ago? Yikes.

    1. Girl I google your question. It was a Kathryn Kimes whose son was allegedly involved in some sort of crime. Heavenly pits her kids above any and everyone. Her daughter gives her a run for her money though!
