In the latest episode of “The Braxtons,” Towanda is hit by a car, and a producer worsens things between Towanda and Tamar. Here are the highlights for “Trouble in Paradise.”
Tamar’s niece speaks on her podcast.
The episode picks up with the continuation of Tamar’s niece, Ashlee, speaking on her podcast. Tamar asks Ashlee what made her take to social media to tell her story (she alleged that one of her aunts stopped speaking to her after their husband sent her inappropriate texts while she was 16). Ashlee says she thinks telling her story on the internet is helping other people.
Tamar apologizes to Ashlee for not being there for her back then when she needed the support. In a green screen interview, Tamar says that Ashlee has to do what she feels is best for her, even if some in the family don’t agree with her methods.

Towanda is hit by a car.
Towanda is hit by a car after she drops off Sean at the airport. Unfortunately, she suffers multiple injuries. She will likely have to get surgery. Toni calls as Sean is by her side. Towanda doesn’t want to hear it when Toni warns that it may not be a good idea to travel to Mexico for the bachelorette festivities. Regardless, Towanda is grateful that her injuries weren’t more severe. But she’s worried she may be in a cast on their wedding day.

Tamar is disappointed when her good friend Phil tells her he doesn’t want to go to Tulum, Mexico, for Towanda’s bachelorette celebration. She didn’t want to go by herself since she isn’t in the best space with Towanda. But she didn’t like that Towanda didn’t respond after she thanked her for making her a maid of honor. And Towanda planning the wedding date around her birthday weekend makes her feel like Towanda just wanted to make it look like she wasn’t there for her because Tamar will not be in attendance.

Towanda makes it to the villa in Tulum. She becomes emotional because none of her sisters are there, and she helped them with their weddings. Toni told her she wouldn’t be able to attend, but she was caught off guard by Tamar not showing up. She really misses Traci because she was always the life of the party and celebrated Towanda on her birthday.
Her friend encourages her to have an honest conversation with her sisters since the wedding is 30 days away.

A producer makes things worse between Tamar and Towanda.
Tamar tells producers she didn’t go to Tulum because one of the producers told her she “wouldn’t be received well” if she went. They then flashback to Towanda speaking to a producer while angry. She tells him she no longer cares that Toni isn’t there, and Tamar was just making up excuses as to why she couldn’t come and would have just “******* up” things anyway.

Trina and Towanda’s close friends make it to the villa. Unfortunately, when the good times begin, Trina finds out Von went to the ER and was told he had congestive heart failure. She’s emotional and wants to leave to be by his side, but he doesn’t want her to leave Towanda’s celebration. Regardless, Trina is out.

Tamar has never support any of her sister. Why not call your sister and ask her. You know she would want you there and Toni never there for anyone. And this is your sister wedding shower how mean and nasty is that.
