Tia Glover gets Ashley Darby together.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” newbie Angel Massie felt the pressure in the most recent episode. As we reported, Keiarna Stewart and Angel have been friends for 20 years. Keiarna took issue with Angel defending Wendy Osefo. Keiarna had just explained that Wendy told her she wasn’t sure she would attend an event because her child was sick. Angel asked Keiarna if she had asked Wendy if the child was okay when she later ran into her at the event. Keiarna answered no, and according to what she told Gizelle Bryant in another scene, she “chin checked” Angel for not being loyal.
When Gizelle and Wendy told Angel that Keiarna said she had chin checked Angel, Angel became upset. Keiarna originally told Angel she didn’t say chin check. But she did end up apologizing to Angel at her Preakness pre-game at her home. She received no pushback from Angel, which led to Wendy and the others feeling like she was being fake. Regardless, Angel said she was no longer angry with Keiarna because she slept on it. She then proceeded to clash with Wendy despite Gizelle and Ashley Darby agreeing that Angel had switched up. In a confessional, Wendy said it was clear to her that Keiarna and Angel spoke before Preakness and agreed to back each other up and target her.
Fellow RHOP newbie Tia Glover will have her own standout moment in the next episode. Bravo released the first several minutes, and Tia reads Ashley at the end of the preview. Ashley confronts Tia for saying it was rude to only invite Wendy and Gizelle to hang out.
Ashley says, “Well, ladies, I called you while you were shopping. I was very happy to invite Wendy and Gizelle to come over and have a fun time. And from what I understand, Tia, you called me rude because I didn’t invite the group?”
Tia replied, “It was just tongue in cheek because we were all there. Usually, if you’re not inviting the other people, you would maybe not invite them in front of the person you’re not inviting. So yeah, I was like, rude.”
Keiarna interjects to ask what tongue-in-cheek means. Tia answers, “Tongue in cheek is like it was not that serious or deep. It just rolled off my tongue.”
After Keiarna claims that chin check was tongue in cheek, Tia tells her that the phrase is actually aggressive.
“But chin check is aggressive. Tongue in cheek is not.”
Ashley tells Tia, “But you kind of shaded me, and you said it was tongue in cheek.”
Tia snaps, “No, I said, tongue in cheek is not shade. Keep up.”
Ashley says, “Sometimes when people say something tongue-in-cheek, it’s inadvertently shady. So I am keeping up (mocks Tia’s accent).”
Tia did not let up.
“Ashley, if I think you’re rude today, I will say to you, Ashley, I think you’re very rude. So if I apologize and I said I did not mean it, I’ve already spoken about it. I don’t know what you’re struggling with.”
Ashley responds, “I’m not struggling with anything.”
Gizelle is feeling the tension, “No longer tongue in cheek.”
After Tia checks Ashley, she goes on to lighten the mood for the group.
She tells Ashley, “And can I just say, I do have an issue right now with you? Because when I met Gizelle, she said to me, ‘The minute my friend Ashley meets you, she’s going to fancy you.’ Nothing. Not a bum pinch…not a…I’m just disappointed.”
This makes everyone laugh, and Ashley goes on to say that she does think Tia is a beautiful woman.
