In the recent episode of “The Braxtons,” the sisters discuss the chaos that took place at their latest sit-down. Here are the highlights for “The Queen & I.”
Trina tells Towanda about Von’s health scare.
Trina opens up to Towanda and Miss Evelyn about Von’s health issues. She reveals he has congestive heart failure. She knew while they were in Tulum, but she didn’t want to worry Towanda during her bachelorette festivities. Towanda understands why Trina didn’t tell her, but she assures her that she could have come clean in Tulum. She wanted to be there for Trina.
In a green screen interview, Trina says it was hard to open up because Von’s health issues are hard for her to talk about without becoming emotional. She feels like their family has been hit with so much heavy news. They need a break from the stress, so it was nice for Toni to invite them to her upcoming concert in Miami.
Toni wants to do something nice for Towanda to make up for her not being able to attend the bachelorette party and bridal shower.
Toni honors Angie Stone.
On the day of the Miami show, Towanda stays behind at the hotel instead of attending the concert with Trina. She isn’t feeling well and may be exhausted from wedding planning and her injuries from getting hit by a car. So Trina goes to the concert alone. She takes the stage to help Toni honor Angie Stone, who recently passed away in a car crash. It’s an emotional moment for Toni and Trina since they were friends with Angie. Toni also knew the other musicians who passed away in the crash; they were supposed to be on that stage too. So it’s devastating.
Later, Toni tries to take Towanda and Trina out yachting for sisterly bonding time. However, the windy weather makes that impossible. So the sisters head to Mr. Chow to eat and fellowship.
Tamar has a different version of events than her sisters.
Tamar catches up with one of her close friends. She is one month away from her next tour, but the drama with her sisters has taken a toll on her. Usually, Tamar would give up alcohol a month away from a tour, but she hasn’t been able to cut back this time around. And she’s blaming that on her sisters.
Her friend says she has to figure out how to make peace with her family or cut them off.
Tamar’s account of what went down at the sit-down is that Trina hit her first, and Toni got up like she was going to flip the table on her.
Meanwhile, Toni discusses what happened with Towanda and Trina at Mr. Chow. Towanda says she is done with Tamar because she has now become violent. When Toni asks what happened, Towanda reminds Toni that Tamar threw water on her at the sit-down. She thinks Tamar has verbally abused her for years, and she is drawing the line at things turning physical.
Towanda is done.
Trina is angry because Tamar told producers she hit her first. Toni agrees with Trina that this is not how things happened, and Tamar assaulted Trina while she was trying to separate them. Trina says Tamar pulled her hair and kicked her.
Toni asks Towanda if she’s willing to have a conversation with Tamar, and she says she has no interest. They are done, and she’s content not having Tamar around her. Tamar is not invited to her wedding.
Tamar breaks down in tears. She tells her friend she doesn’t understand how things got so bad with her siblings, but it doesn’t have to be this way.
