In the season premiere of “Power Book IV: Force,” Tommy and Diamond’s partnership is tested as both keep secrets. Here is the recap for “Do or Die.”

Mireya is safe.

Tommy is freaking out after Miguel told him he will never see Mireya again. Diamond wants to know what is going on because Tommy is behaving strangely. Tommy refuses to talk for now and tells him to find Vic before the feds do.

Miguel is holding Mireya against her will. He says she betrayed him the moment she slept with his enemy, Tommy. And she helped him connect with Che.

Mireya threatens to tell Che that Miguel killed his son so he could be the leader of Insane Princes. She will only be silent if he agrees to leave her and Tommy alone. Miguel refuses and says he will never allow her to leave.

Jenard and Shanti make love in celebration as they are under the assumption that Miguel has killed Tommy, like they planned. However, Shanti becomes suspicious after Miguel doesn’t call to confirm he has done the deed.

Tommy pulls up on Miguel and demands to know if Mireya is okay. He goes off and has to be restrained by Miguel’s men. Miguel tells Tommy he let Mireya go, but he’s only allowing Tommy to do business to keep the peace with Che.

Mirkovi’s demise creates opportunities for Tommy and CBI.

US Attorney Stacy Marks believes Vic was killed. So she thinks the next target for the feds needs to be Tommy. The detectives don’t agree. They think they should focus on convicting the cartel heads they just arrested. Stacy has to put a hold on the meeting after she learns Donna from the DNC wants to chat. She is encouraged to run for mayor.

Tommy and Diamond tell Vic they believe Shanti is the snitch. He looks relieved since he believes that they don’t know it was him. Once he leaves, Diamond asks Tommy why he let Vic leave when he’s the snitch. Tommy says Vic is on borrowed time, but they will use him while they can.

Diamond receives word that Mirkovic died in prison. He was found dead in his cell and was likely killed by a rival cartel (the Marquez cartel).

Meanwhile, Shanti tells Jenard that all he has to do is take out Diamond while he’s at the barber shop to get the ball rolling, since Miguel will handle Tommy. Tommy pops up on them and says they need to go meet the Albanians now that the Serbs are out. The Serbs were their supplier.

Stacy attempts to talk to Claudia. She says Vic didn’t snitch on her; he was trying to snitch on Tommy. But with Claudia’s help, they can make things right since the Marquez cartel wants her dead, too. Claudia refuses.

Miguel beats Tommy at his own game.

When Stacy gets back to her car, she is surprised to see that Vic is still alive. He says Tommy doesn’t know he’s the snitch, and he believes it was Shanti who ratted him out. So he’s in the clear. Stacy tells Vic he has no other option but to help her because he doesn’t want an enemy out of the US Attorney.

Claudia later tells Chan to tell Ortega that Tommy and Shanti are the ones responsible for their current mess. Ortega will have them taken out later that night.

Diamond and Tommy locate Pete of the Albanian mob. After Tommy offers to be the Albanians’ new supplier, Pete says Miguel already beat them to it. So Tommy figures they should play the long game and pursue the Italians.

Miguel has a plan as well. He will set things up to have one of Tommy’s enemies take him out. Che and Mireya won’t know he had anything to do with it that way.

Jenard visits King Kilo in prison. He’s still angry about his nephew Mad Dog being killed by D-Mac. Jenard has one week to put down D-Mac, or it will ruin Kilo’s relationship with CBI.

Tommy has plans for Vic.

Shanti tells Jenard they should use D-Mac to get Tommy and Diamond taken out. They will bring D-Mac in and make it look like Tommy and Diamond have been protecting him. Then they will hand D-Mac over to King Kilo once he has killed Tommy and Diamond.

Vic visits Paulie’s widow and hands her an envelope to give Stacy should anything happen to him, as well as cash to live the good life Paulie wanted for her. She breaks down in tears once she realizes she will likely never see Vic again.

Jenard tells Diamond that Kilo wants D-Mac dead, or it will cause chaos in their coalition. Diamond tells Jenard to take out D-Mac. Jenard then tells him that he shouldn’t feel bad about making the call behind Tommy’s back since he’s been sleeping with Mireya behind Diamond’s back.

Diamond confronts Tommy about his relationship with Mireya. Tommy promises to be honest moving forward, and Diamond says their partnership will end the next time Tommy isn’t forthcoming.

The Marquez cartel attacks when Tommy visits Shanti. They take out the men together and conclude that Claudia is why they came.

The episode ends with Jenard picking up D-Mac and Tommy telling Vic that he is keeping him alive to be his inside man with the feds.
