On the latest episode of “Love & Marriage: Huntsville,” Latricia reflects on the progress she’s making after beginning therapy with Dr. Francis. Meanwhile, the Fletchers host a game night that brings simmering conflicts to the surface. Destiny’s dating life becomes a topic yet again. In addition, Kimmi attempts to resolve tension between Nell and LaTisha, only for things to spiral even further into a physical altercation.
Here are the highlights for “Like a Bat Out of Nell”.
Latricia opens up about the emotional work she began in therapy.
Latricia meets with her friend Sharon to share how intense her first therapy sessions have been. She explains that confronting the grief she carries over losing her parents was emotionally overwhelming. It forced her to revisit memories she had spent years avoiding. Latricia says she has always bottled up her feelings and avoided crying. She associated it with weakness, even around her own children.
The sessions pushed her to break that pattern. She reveals she visited her parents’ graves for the first time. This moment unexpectedly brought comfort. Latricia also notices the impact therapy is already having on her relationship with Ken. She says she’s been able to pause before reacting in anger. In her opinion, their communication is slowly improving as she becomes more honest in her interactions.
Destiny updates the ladies on her conversations with Lance, Twan, and Nell.
During a gathering earlier in the day, Destiny explains she didn’t invite Nell because Nell is preparing for her “Fletchtivities” event. The women ask whether she and Lance resolved the surprise baby news Destiny discovered online. Destiny says Lance admitted he didn’t know how to tell her before he knew for sure.
She also says she told Lance she would say yes if Twan ever asked her out. However, she then found out Twan is Lance’s godbrother. Destiny then shifts to Nell and says that Nell gave conflicting stories about leaving Los Angeles early. Later, she claimed she felt disrespected by comments about NDAs and Tisha’s approach to Chris. Destiny admits she’s confused because Nell often claims an issue is resolved only to bring up a new problem soon after.
The group arrives at the Fletchers’ game night as Destiny makes an unexpected entrance with Will.
At game night, Nell reveals she’s hurt that she wasn’t invited to the girls’ meet-up earlier. She wonders if she’s being intentionally excluded. LaTisha notes this is her first time seeing Martell since his parody interview. Yet, she insists she’s focused on having a good night.
Destiny then walks in with Will—Ken’s longtime friend—surprising everyone. This is unexpected, especially after her earlier comments about being open to Twan. Lance is noticeably thrown off, but Destiny says Will asked her on a date. She didn’t see a reason not to bring him. She makes it clear she’s single and can date who she wants. Even as the group immediately reacts to the unexpected pairing.
Kimmi pushes Nell and LaTisha to talk, but the conversation quickly falls apart.
Kimmi pulls Nell aside to bridge the tension with LaTisha. She reminds her that their last conversation seemed positive until new information from Destiny and Latricia complicated things. Nell confirms she told Destiny to keep her name out of her mouth. She reluctantly agrees to talk to LaTisha outside.
Once they begin talking, the conversation derails instantly. LaTisha asks why Nell gave different explanations about leaving Los Angeles early, and Nell becomes irritated, saying anything involving her granddaughter isn’t LaTisha’s business. The discussion turns into overlapping accusations, and neither woman budges. Ultimately, the conflict remains unresolved.
Nell and Kimmi get into an argument that exposes deeper issues.
The fallout from the failed conversation carries into a new confrontation between Nell and Kimmi. Nell accuses Kimmi of making the situation bigger than it is. Meanwhile, Kimmi tries to explain why she stepped in as a mediator. Their exchange grows tense, prompting the men to intervene and calm things down.
Kimmi opens up about why yelling is a trigger for her, revealing she grew up with an abusive, loud father and always felt responsible for protecting her mother. She apologizes for threatening to throw Nell in the pool and acknowledges she shouldn’t have let her emotions escalate. Nell accepts the apology and the two hug, but LaTisha refuses to reconcile. She believes Nell has been talking behind her back and feels she’s the one owed an apology.
