The group takes issue with Wendy Osefo having Stacey Rusch’s back.
Keiarna Stewart and Karen Huger‘s friend, Cookie, ganged up on Stacey Rusch in the latest episode of “Real Housewives of Potomac.” They accused Stacey of telling Chris Samuels that Monique Samuels said he was bad in bed.
Stacey has been labeled as a liar by multiple people in the group. However, Wendy Osefo had Stacey’s back. She told the group that Monique informed her about Cookie’s alleged lack of credibility. Monique alleged that Cookie lied to her about being Chuck Brown’s daughter. And she didn’t want to be around Cookie because she found out Cookie talked about her behind her back. So it would be best not to discuss the matter until Monique is around.
This moment was addressed during the RHOP After Show. Tia Glover said Keiarna’s delivery fell flat because Wendy defended Stacey.
“K, she didn’t feel comfortable with the information because it was dirty. But when she tried to deliver it, I feel like Wendy shut it down to protect Stacey. So it didn’t land the way it perhaps could have landed.”
Ashley Darby said Wendy wanted to defend the underdog.
“I think that Wendy saw an opportunity to defend the underdog because, at this point, all of us collectively believed that Stacey was the person who had leaked this very vulnerable information. So I believe that Wendy wanted to give Stacey the benefit of the doubt. For what reason? I’m not sure. I don’t know if there was some newfound friendship that she and Stacey had forged.”
She added, “I don’t know, but it was all news to all of us that Wendy was so adamantly defending Stacey because they had never had that close of a relationship to begin with.”
Wendy said defending Stacey was the right thing to do.
“I’m going to defend Stacey because this situation is very odd. It seems as though Keiarna is so hellbent on having a gotcha moment with Stacey. This is not her fight to fight. If anybody should be upset, it should be Monique.”
She continued, “Keiarna, you’re more upset than the woman that Chris was married to. Why? Where is all of this energy coming from? I’m just not understanding the fixation with Keiarna wanting to malign Stacey. She doesn’t have a dog in the fight. She doesn’t have a bone in the fight.”
Wendy thinks Keiarna just seemed disingenuous.
Keiarna told Angel Massie that Wendy’s friendship with Stacey is strategic.
“I don’t think Wendy feels secure in her other friendships, and Wendy is more of an alliance person, in my opinion. She’s not a friendship person. And I think Stacey being the odd woman out…and Wendy loves to show her moral compass. And I think this is just a good opportunity for her to be like, I’m not that person. I’m here with Stacey. And it’s just like, are you?”
Angel said, “Well, you know, Wendy has a great strategic mind when it comes to interpersonal relationships.”
Keiarna responded, “Clock it.”
