In the season premiere of “Married to Medicine,” Simone and Quad address lingering tension from their reunion blowup. Toya offends Jackie and Curtis with her WWHL comments. Here are the highlights for “Cocktails and Polo.”
Simone and Quad discuss their latest fallout.
Quad and King are still going strong despite still living in two separate houses. They will figure out a solution eventually. Newbie Angel makes her debut on the show. In a confessional, Quad says they have been friends for years. Angel is a successful nurse and used to be on Basketball Wives. Quad is happy to have someone as fun as Angel around.
Simone is brought up. King is disappointed that Cecil and Simone haven’t been coming around after the reunion blowup.
Jackie and Simone discuss Quad. Simone says she doesn’t like how angry she was at the last reunion. But she’s not going to play nice with Quad if she wants to be shady. She acknowledges she was messy when she questioned who would pay Quad’s mortgage in a YouTube video with Sweet Tea. However, she was responding to Quad shading her in an interview. Quad said Simone would be great on “Traitors.” It also bothered her that Quad got even by inviting her to her birthday party two hours before the event started.
Simone says she has plenty of tea on Quad if she wants to keep being petty.

Toya and Eugene have moved out of a rental into their custom built home. However, the couple has not gotten adjusted to Eugene’s new work schedule. He is working two jobs. One job requires Eugene to commute about 5 hours away, the other 2 and a half hours. So he is gone most of the time.
The new work situation makes Toya feel like a military wife, but she won’t complain too much since Eugene is making more money than when he was working locally.

Mimi and Steve are throwing a shindig for all the couples soon. Quad is excited but not enthusiastic about being around Simone again.

Heavenly’s son is a hot topic on social media.
Toya visits Simone and Cecil. She’s been in a peaceful place with Quad. So she questions why Simone thought it was a good idea to shade Quad while she was doing a YouTube video with Sweet Tea.
Toya also talks about Jackie. Jackie sent her a text in the group chat to call her out for shading Curtis on “Watch What Happens Live.” Toya commented on Curtis being photographed with his hands around Heavenly’s waist. She said Curtis grabbed her waist and pulled her onto his lap, seasons ago.
She only said the truth, so she doesn’t understand why Jackie is upset.
This made Jackie furious. She told Toya she was wrong to say this on a public forum, and she wouldn’t have done this to Eugene.
Heavenly is mentioned. They are all empathetic to the arrest news regarding her and Damon’s son. However, Toya does think it’s unfair for Heavenly not to discuss her son’s situation on YouTube when she likes to talk about them on her channel all the time. Regardless, Cecil tells Toya to be the bigger person, and she shouldn’t bring up the situation first.

Jackie refuses to apologize to Toya.
Mimi and Steve host their couples event. Toya notices Heavenly did not make it to Mimi and Steve’s event, and this may be due to what is going on with her son. Jackie tells Toya that Heavenly said she needed to mind her business.

Toya later asks Jackie if Curtis is mad at her because he didn’t speak. Jackie says Curtis was offended by her WWHL comments. Jackie herself thinks the comments do not represent who Curtis is currently.
Toya believes the real issue is that Jackie doesn’t want to acknowledge that Curtis pulled her down into his lap. Jackie says Toya sat on Curtis’ lap. Regardless, Jackie tells producers she will not be apologizing for the texts she sent to Toya. She is not Eugene.

Cecil and King chat. Both men are over Quad and Simone’s beef. In their eyes, the whole situation is petty. They hope they can move on sooner rather than later.
Toya calls Simone over to hash things out with Quad. Simone admits she was in bed for two days after getting into it with Quad. Both acknowledge they may need more time before they can have a productive conversation. The episode ends with producers teasing scenes of future blowups between the women.
