Toya Bush-Harris wasn’t here for Dr. Heavenly Kimes’ political ambitions.
“Married to Medicine” stars Toya Bush-Harris and Dr. Heavenly Kimes have clashed on the show for years; to no surprise, that will continue in the upcoming episode.
In a preview, Heavenly confirms she is running for office.
She tells the group, “I’m running for state representative, and I feel like somebody has to stand up, especially in my district and my community, because they’re not being heard. So first, Toya, I would ask you if you have any questions, let me know, I can tell you.”
Toya says, “When I heard you were running for anything, the first thing I thought about was, wow. She doesn’t even know how to maintain her relationships in her friend group.”
Heavenly asks Toya if she knows what a state representative does. Toya ignores the question.
“So I’ma go back to your other question. I absolutely thought it was a joke.”
Heavenly repeats the question, and Toya snaps.
“I don’t give a ****.”
Toya adds, “‘Cause what I’m telling you is that the state representative wouldn’t be you.”
Heavenly insists she’s getting into politics to be a voice for Black people.
“Please understand that African American people are underrepresented.”
Toya responds, “I’m the people, *****, and I ain’t voting for you.”
Heavenly continues to question Toya’s political knowledge.
“Do you know what a state representative is? Tell me what it is.”
Toya quips, “It ain’t you!”
Dr. Heavenly Kimes is accused of hypocrisy in relation to her son’s arrest.
Heavenly then says, “Toya, leave my ******* kid’s name out of your mouth!”
Toya responds as she’s being restrained.
“I’m glad you brought it up ‘cause I was just going to ask how you were doing *****. ‘Cause I ain’t brought up your kids. How can we leave your kids out of our mouth when you dog our whole ******* family?”
Toya says more in her green screen interview.
“For the last ten years, you have done nothing but talk about me and mine. So welcome, and enjoy what it feels like.”

“And I’m like, did she just ask me that? Did she just ask me that in public? Is she being shady? Yes, she is. But this does create an opportunity to take this a bit further. Further than being petty, further than being shady, anything like that. We can talk about a bigger issue, which is more than 20 million Americans suffer from some kind of thyroid condition, and 60 percent have no clue, like me. I had no clue until I was pregnant with my twins.”
Brandi continued, “My labs went crazy, my hormones went crazy, like everything went out of whack. I now know that I have a condition I never knew about. My hormones exacerbated it. So that’s why it’s such an important issue. It’s important to have these conversations so that we’re educated and made aware. I’ve been a nurse practitioner for 15 years. I educate my patients. We really dive deep into what’s going on with them. We do comprehensive lab work. I’ve diagnosed so many people with thyroid conditions that they never knew even existed.”
She closed her message by expressing the importance of empathy.
“That’s why I love what I do. That’s why I love pouring into other people. And that’s why it’s important to watch your words. You never know what somebody else is going through or what their story is. But what can’t do is use our expertise to shame someone else for what they have going on or what we perceive they have going on.
