In the latest episode of “Married to Medicine,” Simone and Quad hash things out. Plus, Heavenly reveals she isn’t in a good place with her son. Here are the highlights for “Makeups and Breakups.”
Heavenly misses her son.
Eugene and Toya discuss Heavenly’s political ambitions. Although Toya doesn’t think Heavenly is qualified to be in politics, Eugene reminds her of the current state of American politics. So Heavenly does have a chance to win.
Meanwhile, Damon tells Heavenly that he is proud of her transition into politics. They switch topics to their son, Damon Jr. Heavenly tells Damon he can’t keep secrets from her ever again. Heavenly had to find out Damon Jr. was arrested on social media. This bothers her.
Heavenly questions why Damon continues not to tell her things. He says he figured he could handle it on his own. Regardless, he made the decision he felt was best at the time, and he stands by it.
The hardest part of it for Heavenly is that she hasn’t seen her son in months. After she found out about his arrest, she called him and went off. Damon Jr. then left the house with his things, and she hasn’t seen him since.
Toya receives heartbreaking news.
Contessa and Scott go to their new building. Their practice outgrew the last office building they were in. The newest building was $1.2 million. Scott and Contessa had to pretty much use all of their 401(k)s to buy the property. Now it’s taking their contractor forever to make repairs, so they haven’t had an office in months. This could lead to them losing clients.
Regardless, Contessa is proud to have a business at that particular location.
Toya and Simone head to Brandi’s office. After she talks to them about her expertise in Botox, Toya finds out that the family dog of 18 years, Baileys, just died. The dog drowned in the swimming pool. Ana, Toya’s housekeeper and family friend, discovered the dog’s body and was hysterical.
Simone hugs Toya as she breaks down over the news.
The mood lightens up after Toya tells Simone that tequila could cheer her up.
Simone and Quad hug it out.
Toya and Eugene later plan a funeral for Baileys and encourage those invited to bring their dogs. Eugene and Toya give speeches about their time with Baileys. Toya tearfully talks about how Baileys meant so much to her.
In a confessional, Mimi says she understands exactly how Toya feels because she and Steve also lost their family dog of many years recently. It’s a painful experience. As for Heavenly, she tells producers that she will bring up the “dead dog” the next time she argues with Toya.
Jackie hosts a sexy event for the ladies while the husbands have their own get-together.
All the women arrive in sexy attire. To no surprise, drama kicks off after Jackie starts a game of questions. Simone and Quad argue about their fallout. Quad says Simone shaded her on YouTube first. Cooler heads eventually prevail and Quad apologizes to Simone for hurting her. Simone receives this and apologizes for operating out of a place of hurt and anger. She respects that Quad had a right to pull back from her, but she didn’t think she deserved it.
The two women hug it out as the others are touched by their progress.
In a confessional, Simone says the moment meant a lot to her. And she hopes they never have to revisit this topic again.
Eugene and Curtis have tension.
The husbands discuss how to deal with their wives clashing and being messy in the media. Eugene says he will support Toya no matter what and Curtis doesn’t think this is acceptable. He is still upset about the comments Toya made on “Watch What Happens Live.”
Eugene doesn’t think Toya crossed the line at all because she didn’t lie.
Heavenly’s political ambitions are up for discussion next. Damon says Heavenly is considering running for state representative. He is going to be there to help her every step of the way and he’s proud of her. Cecil says Heavenly has a vote out of him.
Back at Jackie’s event, Heavenly confirms she is running for state representative. She confronts Toya for questioning her first foray into politics.
Toya doesn’t back down. She questions how Heavenly can be qualified to be a politician when she can’t even maintain positive relationships with her costars.
Heavenly tells Toya to keep her kids’ names out of her mouth and Toya says Heavenly has been critical of everyone, so she isn’t owed any grace.
