“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams caused a stir on social media thanks to her Thanksgiving Day Instagram post. In the post, Porsha showed off her new boo, Patrice “Sway” McKinney. Some commenters were critical of Porsha’s new romance. They accused her of moving on too quickly.

Well, Porsha opened up about her girlfriend during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. Porsha acknowledged that she does move fast in her relationships, but spending Thanksgiving with Patrice just felt right. And she was pleasantly surprised by how well their families got along.
When Porsha was asked how she and Patrice connected, she said they met on Instagram. It started with Porsha liking photos several years ago when Patrice had a different account. When Porsha came across Patrice’s new account, she liked some of the photos again, and eventually, a conversation took place in the DMs.
Porsha also confirmed that this is her first relationship with a woman, although she has been with women in the past. She and Patrice are currently in an exclusive relationship, and it felt freeing to go public and even film RHOA scenes together. So Porsha is currently in a really good space.
