Candiace Dillard-Bassett clapped back at Monique Samuels on her podcast.

Real Housewives of Potomac” star Monique Samuels recently appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” to discuss her return to the show. She also answered some questions from fans. One person asked Monique if it was possible for her to ever make peace with Candiace Dillard Bassett. Monique said that people need to understand that it’s not always possible to forgive and move forward with someone. She apologized to Candiace, and there is nothing more that can be done at this point. Monique has moved on and can at least be cordial if they were ever in the same room again.

Candiace responded to Monique’s comments on her podcast, “Undomesticated,” after her co-host said Monique said she apologized.

She said, “I mean, I have PTSD from the entire experience, so it’s possible that I could be misremembering. But I do not recall ever receiving an apology from that girl. I see a lot of clips of her talking about how she was unhealed, I’m paraphrasing, but how she was unhealed and much of her behavior was because she was an unhealed girl. Okay, child. Effie, we all got pain. We all got some healing to do and therapy to do. But it’s just…it all just reeks to me of skirting around real accountability. Mostly because, like you said, if you wanted to apologize to me, you would have and could have called me directly.”

Candiace continued, “And I’m not now nor have I ever been with none of this show ****, this camera ****. Like this, oh, I wanted to apologize. But I wanted to save it for this camera or that camera. That to me is a crock of ****. When you inflict real live pain on people and real live trauma on people, you need to offer a real live apology that does not need to involve cameras. So all these conversations about me or that involve me or me adjacent, I don’t take it…I don’t consider it as remorse or apologetic. And, also, I think it’s cute because I don’t really see her out in the public much speaking unless she is talking about me. So what does that say about your relevance or lack thereof?”

  1. Monique apologized to Candiace at that reunion and Candiace didn’t accept it. Candiace needs to move on and so do her fans. It’s been five years. They don’t have to be friends. Lastly, I’m confused by the relevance shade. I haven’t missed Candiace at all because she drags everything out and never takes accountability.

  2. Monique apologized and said she was wrong multiple times. People who don’t like her just want her to grovel and beg for a friendship she doesn’t actually want. It’s stupid.

  3. Accountability? Candiace popped off and got popped by Monique. If anything, a lesson shoulda been learned about keeping your mouth shut.

  4. Candiace will never get over that fight because she’s still embarrassed she got her a-s whooped on TV. Nothing more, nothing less. She ain’t got no f-cking PTSD because she still talks sh-t to this day. I’m tired of hearing about this old a-s fight. If you don’t really want to fight then don’t tell anyone someone to drag you.
