In the latest episode of “Real Housewives of Potomac,” Angel uses the Colorado trip to get even with Ashley and Gizelle. Here are the highlights for “Altitude with Attitude.”
Sheila’s partner is getting help.
Ashley and her family celebrate Dean and Uncle Lump’s birthday with a joint birthday celebration. Dean is turning 6, and Ashley’s uncle is turning 60. The drinks flow as everyone is having a good time. Ashley’s mother, Sheila, takes a moment to tell everyone that her longtime partner, John, has checked himself into a rehab program for his alcoholism.
Ashley’s grandmother says this is a big step for John, and it will not only benefit him but those around him as well. As far as she’s concerned, John has always been fine by her. In response, Ashley reminds her grandmother that she never had to live with John.
In a green screen interview, Ashley says she is happy that John is getting help. He’s never done this before, and this is something she wanted him to do when she was a teenager.
The women get real at Monique’s binder event.
Monique invites all the ladies to a shady binder event to promote her new book. She asks the women to write down what they think about themselves and each other in the binders they are given.
Stacey writes that Gizelle appears to have trust issues, and she hopes she works on that. Gizelle left her section about Stacey blank. Meanwhile, Ashley wrote that Stacey is complicated, confused, nurturing, and fun. Stacey is happy with this. She feels like she has come a long way with Ashley.
When they get to Wendy’s binder, they see she has labeled Keiarna as fake. Keiarna takes the microphone to respond by saying, “My bags are real.” Stacey requests the mic to get back to what Wendy wrote and asks Wendy why she feels that way.
Wendy answers that she and Keiarna were good before they started filming the season, so for Keiarna to have such an issue now seems fake.
Angel calls out Ashley.
Ashley’s binder is up next. She describes herself as a “bad *****” who is glowing and changing for the better. Angel makes a face to indicate that she doesn’t agree with any of this. When they read Angel’s thoughts on Ashley, she said Ashley is disappointing, a strong mother, resilient, and petty.
When Angel is given Ashley’s thoughts on her, she rips the paper out of the binder. She says Ashley wrote that she was a catfish who wasn’t walking in her truth. And if Ashley feels that way, she shouldn’t come to her house in Colorado.
Angel tells Wendy she put a lot of love and effort into making the trip perfect, and she doesn’t see why Ashley should be there if she has these views about her.
Gizelle says she won’t go to Angel’s house if Ashley isn’t invited. In a confessional, Gizelle says she and Ashley haven’t done anything to Angel to warrant this behavior, and it’s wild for Angel to do this. But she won’t be going if Ashley isn’t going.
Angel tells the group that she was offended by Ashley saying she was evicted from her Maryland home. Ashley says that she wasn’t being shady, and Angel being told to leave the property was an eviction.
Angel goes on to say that the lease ended before she and Bobby expected. But that doesn’t mean they were evicted.
Monique is able to get Ashley and Angel to hash things out. Ashley apologizes for using the word evicted and Angel accepts her apology. When Angel says she doesn’t want the word catfish to be used again, Gizelle says she hopes they eat catfish in Colorado. Angel takes that as her cue to leave. Regardless, the group is happy that Ashley and Angel are able to move forward.
Angel gets even with Gizelle and Ashley.
While en route to Angel’s “home” in Colorado, Monique tells Ashley and Tia that Angel told her Bobby didn’t want to come to Wendy and Gizelle’s event. This gave her flashbacks to when she was married to Chris. She really hopes Angel isn’t in a similar situation.
The shade starts when the ladies make it to the house. It turns out, the ladies will not be staying at Angel’s house. They are instead staying in one of the cabins from the retreat business Angel and Bobby own. They are shown their rooms. Angel tells Ashley and Gizelle they will be staying in the room with twin beds since Gizelle said she wouldn’t come if Ashley was disinvited.
Surprisingly, it’s Wendy who is given the best room, which is spacious and has its own bathroom.
Gizelle rants about the room and refuses to sleep there. She says Angel was evicted, and she has more information about what happened.
Angel overhears this and urges Ashley and Gizelle to speak on what they heard because the trip can’t proceed until they do.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger.
